Kandi Burruss reveals why she almost bailed on Celebrity Big Brother

Kandi Buruss is a reality TV veteran thanks to her time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and all her various spin-offs. But filming a reality show is one thing; locking yourself in a house with a bunch of loons away from your husband and children is another altogether.

So when Buruss’ son told her he didn’t want her to leave to go on season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother (which premieres Jan. 21 on CBS), she thought about backing out. But after getting ample support from the rest of her family, she stayed the course.

That’s what Buruss told EW when we spoke with her before entering the house. Whether it turns out to be the right decision remains to be seen, but she’s pretty sure of one thing: that any drama she encounters in the CBB house can’t possibly measure up to what she’s already experienced over on Bravo. “I feel like the drama on the Real Housewives is way worse,” Buruss says. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Oh, that drama on Celebrity Big Brother is not going to compare to our drama, okay? So if I can do RHOA, I definitely can do this.”

Buruss also told us why she is going to win this season, and if she does, how that honor would measure up to winning a Grammy award (for co-writing TLC’s “No Scrubs”). To see her talk about all that and more, watch the video above, and also make sure to check out our interview with Anthony Scaramucci as well as our full cast gallery.
