Molly Ringwald reveals she's returning for more Riverdale

Before Luke Perry and Molly Ringwald played exes on the CW’s Riverdale, they had another connection.

When Ringwald stopped by Couch Surfing to look back at some of her roles — past and present — she revealed that she knew Perry many years ago. “When I was in my 20s, before I moved to Paris, I sort of on a whim went and got a little potbellied pig,” she said. But when the supposedly miniature pig kept growing and ruined Ringwald’s mother’s garden, she had to find it a new home. “Luke Perry has a farm,” she said. And through a friend, she was able to place Wilbur with Perry. “Before I even knew Luke Perry, we had this pig connection.”

Now, the two sometimes share the small screen as Archie’s parents on Riverdale, and according to Ringwald, she will be back on the show this season. “I haven’t read the script yet,” she said. “I just know I’m coming back.”

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
