My first edit, as always it is fun to play with a scene like this. Thanks, Abbie for these challenges!

I had used this concept before, but without the ladies waving, and regretted that ever since

Having "Windows" on my mind, and instead of finding easier and shorter ways to create an entry, I went the complete opposite way, spending hours, hit and miss on layers on layers after layers

It was kind of fun, going back to my past work

A golf cart is parked next to a grand, historic building with golfers preparing to putt near a hole marked with a red flag. The sky is partly cloudy, adding to the serene atmosphere of the scene.

This is my first entry into the latest Abbie Shores' (Fine Art America Admin) Edit This 82 challenge. I added Tiger Woods and his 15 yr old son Charlie Woods, contemplating the next putt on the green in front of the grand establishment.

A marching band in red uniforms performs in front of a historic building on a neatly trimmed lawn under a partially cloudy sky. The band members are arranged in a semicircle, with their conductor standing in the center facing them.

This is my second entry into Abbie Shores' (Fine Art America admin) Edit This 82 challenge. I added the Royal Marching Band with some subtle shadowing.

I'm still obsessed with the windows

This time I wondered what would be the view from the inside be like

As if the building was one grand space, I came up with this experiment:

Edit:

After studying this image....I see that it would be impossible.

The horizon line is at the top of the middle row, so the roadway would be flying in the air.

I'll have to make up a scenario at the horizon line.

Plenty of trees and clouds

It's DAY 2, on to the vase drawing

A majestic castle looms under a cloudy sky, with two figures flying on broomsticks above it and a person standing below, holding a wand next to a broom. The scene exudes a sense of magic and wizardry.

My third entry into Fine Art America admin Abbie Shores' Edit This 82 challenge. I created an illusion of Harry Potter's "Hogwarts" school appearing in place of Abbie Shore's offered image for the edit challenge with all it's grand appearance.

A grand, darkened building stands under a stormy sky with a single flash of lightning illuminating the clouds. A few windows are lit, contrasting against the ominous atmosphere. The thunder has awakened people in two of the bedrooms of this large estate as you can see by the lights on in their windows.

A bride and groom stand together, embraced in front of a large historic building. The bride’s veil flows gracefully behind her, adding a sense of movement to the serene setting. This is the first day of the rest of their lives and as far as the happy couple is concerned it is the best day ever! They are in love and going to be together as man and wife in this lovely, stately and grand mansion as the Lord and Lady of the Manor House.

Still toying with idea of windows, I initially hoped that the dragon would be discernable appearing in the actual windows in this photo.

It wasn't.

So I turned the building into an old hulk, with much larger openings

This is the result:

An old, grand building with multiple windows and a large central archway stands under a cloudy sky. The sepia tone gives the scene a nostalgic, historical feel.

This is my fourth entry into Abbie Shore's "Edit This 82" challenge.

I've been toying with the Perspective Tool, creating this combo image

Needs a lot of work, If I want to submit it

Straightening the windows (If possible)

Create a cornice at each end

Deal with the slew of image anomalies

There's plenty of time to work on it

A large, old brick building stands under a dark, snowy sky, with many windows illuminated by a yellowish glow. Light reflections appear in the foreground, creating an eerie and mysterious atmosphere.

My first entry for Abbie Shores' "Edit This 82" contest. I thought I'd turn this into a Victorian era daguerreotype photograph albeit the likes of which you've never seen before, lol. Poor Henry...the day he met his future mother-in-law is one he'll never forget. He ran away the moment he saw her...This photograph was taken shortly after she caught him...Below is an amusing letter he wrote to his fiancé the very next day...somehow I doubt these two ended up tying the knot, lol:

My Dearest Emma,

My heart is heavy with both anticipation and regret as I pen this missive to you, my beloved. Allow me, with the deepest sincerity and utmost regard, to extend my most humble apologies for the event that has transpired, one which has undoubtedly caused you distress and perhaps even a measure of bewilderment.

It is with great contrition that I recount my impulsive endeavor to abscond from the formidable presence of your esteemed mother. I must confess, with a heart full of earnest bewilderment, that never in my life have I beheld such a grandiose figure, save perhaps within the confines of the venerable London Zoo. The sheer magnitude of her stature, coupled with an aura of undeniable authority, rendered me momentarily bereft of composure. In that regrettable moment, my instinct was to flee, and flee I did, with an ardor unmatched.

Yet, as fate would have it, her swiftness and agility outstripped my own meager attempts at escape. She apprehended me with an ease that spoke volumes of her prowess. It is this very capability, dear Emma, that now assures me of her superlative ability to safeguard our future progeny. In her hands, I am confident our children shall be enveloped in the utmost care and protection, a comforting thought that now tempers my initial fright.

However, my sweet Emma, the tide of my fortunes has carried me in a direction unforeseen. I have taken up a commission, one of great import, that will see me venture to the frigid and uncharted expanse of the North Pole. It is a journey fraught with peril and uncertainty, and thus, I cannot ascertain when I shall return to your loving embrace. But rest assured, my dearest, upon my return, we shall be wed, and our souls will be forever entwined in the sacrosanct bonds of matrimony.

I beseech you, with all the fervor of my heart, to convey to your esteemed mother that she need not seek me out. My departure is not one of cowardice, but of necessity, and I implore her to understand the gravity of my undertaking.

Until the day I return, my thoughts shall be of you, my love, guiding me through the icy wilderness with the warmth of your memory. With steadfast devotion and undying affection, I remain

Yours eternally,
Henry

This is the final episode of the Buryton Abbey series. After losing his wife and child in childbirth, Lord Buryton never remarried. He stayed in the family estate with the servants and workers that made the place run until the day he was killed in a freak accident with his new motorcar. Having no heir, He bequethed the property to the community as a final resting place where they could bury their dead free of charge. Generations of local folk are now gratefully resting there.

Ehm...this is my entry.
Did you ever read about a Japanese photographer known as Hal?
He used to photograph families with their houses, too. But it was a different kind of portrait, they were all vacuum-sealed in plastic wraps, (because this method would garantee the highest adhesion). Many months of preparations for a maximum of 14 seconds to quickly take a capture. The project was called Flesh love all, because it includes what they love. It symbolizes the preservation of love, where everything is connected.

In this conceptual work I thought it was very fitting to paint in acrylic a cover of plastic on this old English mansion. It means preserving art and its history.

Thanks for the kind words and KUDOS to Preeti and Brian ! and all that participated.

Of all the images I've entered throughout these 80+ Edit This Challenges , this by far, took much more time in it's execution, layer after layer, than any other.

Once I got into it, it was a matter of joy completing it.

THANKS
