India: Leopard hunts pet dog in just 10 seconds in western India
Surat, India - July 10, 2024 In a tragic incident in western India's Gujarat A leopard was caught hunting a pet dog within 10 seconds in a residential area. The incident took place at a house in Umarsadi village of Mandvi in Surat district on July 10. Visuals showed a leopard stealthily grabbing the dog and swiftly disappearing into darkness, while the other dog managed to flee from the scene. In just a few seconds, the leopard was caught darting away after its swift hunt. The night shrouded the scene, heightening the spine-chilling nature of the incident. According to reports, the following morning, when the dogs were missing, surveillance footage from the area was reviewed, revealing the entire incident. The CCTV footage showed the leopard entering the house courtyard at 4:30 a.m., swiftly seizing the pet dog, and fleeing. Authorities have since notified the Forest Department about the incident.
