Planning on hosting some summer parties? Your entertaining essentials can likely use a refresh. And Christina Hall has some beautiful — and affordable — recommendations.

The HGTV star recently hosted a Walmart Live and shared some of her favorite items for summer entertaining. She also served up some helpful tips and tricks, so you can host a successful summer soirée.

“When you’re setting up a party, it’s so important that the whole vibe matches and that your guests feel comfortable when they’re walking in, and they see that you really put the effort in to make everything elegant,” she said.

Hall’s top picks include mix-and-match glassware, pretty serving platters, a set of oven mitts, classic kitchen towels, and more. The best part? All of her favorite finds are under $80, and prices start at just $2.

If you’re hosting a party poolside, the last thing you want to worry about is a glass shattering by — or, worse, in — the pool. Hall selected this Better Homes & Gardens ribbed tumbler for its durability and high-end design. It’s crafted from plastic, but Hall said it looks like “true glass.” It’s BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and has a subtle inset at the base, so it easily fits in a cup holder.

“They’re gorgeous. I love the little tint of blue,” Hall shared. Shoppers agree and have shared how they’re impressed with the tumbler’s aesthetic design, as well as how it’s lightweight yet still durable.

This 12-piece stoneware set includes four dinner plates, salad plates, and bowls, and it’s both microwave- and dishwasher-safe. In addition to black, it’s also available in other colors and patterns, including deep blue and polka dots.

“I actually have them on my floating shelves because they’re so elegant,” Hall raved about the stoneware dinnerware set. “Nothing I buy that I’m going to entertain with is going to be off limits. Not only are these gorgeous, they’re affordable, and you can actually eat on them.”

This stoneware serving platter provides a pretty backdrop if you enjoy creating charcuterie boards. It’s designed with a fun polka-dot print and a gleaming gold trim. Hall said it’s “very heavy duty” and looks “really fancy.” The rectangular platter can safely be used in the microwave and dishwasher without issue, though the brand notes it isn’t oven-safe.
