Dunkin’ Is Giving Out One Free Donut to Celebrate National Donut Day

Dunkin’ is getting ready for one of their biggest holidays of the year!

On Friday, June 7, the coffee chain is dishing out a free donut to customers in honor of National Donut Day. All Dunkin’ locations will offer fans a free classic donut of their choice as long as they purchase a beverage. 

To add to the Donut Day fun, Dunkin’ announced a partnership with Scrub Daddy to create sponges in the shape of donuts. The limited-edition cleaning supplies feature Dunkin’s signature colors, of course. The Scrub Daddy Sponge is orange, while the Scrub Mommy is pink and white. The adorable sponges are available now on ScrubDaddy.com. 

In May, Dunkin’ introduced new summer treats, including two more “drinkable twists on donuts”: the Blueberry Donut Coffee and Vanilla Frosted Donut Signature Latte. The Kiwi watermelon refresher also joined the seasonal menu. It’s available with green tea or lemonade. 

In the food department, the brand unveiled a new chocolate chunk cookie for the summer. It's a salty and sweet twist on the classic with chocolate chunks, pretzel bits and brown butter notes.

Other companies are getting in on the National Donut Day deals. On June 7, Krispy Kreme is giving out a free donut of choice, no purchase necessary. Customers can also grab a dozen original glazed donuts for $2 with the purchase of another full-priced dozen.

The free donut excludes limited-time only offerings (like Dolly Parton's Southern Sweets collection) but glazed, iced, filled donuts, and cake donuts are just a few of the options up for grabs at Krispy Kreme.
