Normani Responds to Camila Cabello After She Congratulates Her on Release of 'Dopamine': 'This Seriously Means a Lot'

Normani and Camila Cabello are sharing their love for each other.

After the "Motivation" singer, 28, dropped her debut album, Dopamine, on Friday, June 14, the "Havana" artist, praised her former band member in her Instagram comments.

Normani shared a celebratory Instagram post on Friday, June 14 on her album's release day, alongside a photo of her in leather gloves and covered in chains.

"thank you jesus. thank you jesus. thank you jesus," she captioned the post. "have really been over here all morning doing my best to find the words to articulate my gratitude for everyone that has endured with me throughout this process and who has continued to believe in me."

Normani continued: "this album was legit one of the hardest things in life for me over the years. literally can’t even entirely verbalize my appreciation in this moment because of how overwhelmed my heart is in the most magical way possible. ahhhhh my thoughts are obviously all over the place lol imma try this again tomorrow hahaha."

On Saturday, June 15, Cabello commented on the "Wild Side" performer's post congratulating her.

"putting out a project is vulnerable and hard and you are doing it beautifully ! congratulations on your first album and many more to come !!!!!!!! 🚀🩵," the "Bam Bam" hitmaker wrote.

After teasing an album for years, the R&B singer officially announced her debut studio album Dopamine in February by sharing its cover artwork and 2024 release date on Instagram. The news excited fans who had been clamoring for more music since the runaway success of her 2019 single “Motivation."

Meanwhile, in May, Cabello unveiled the title, cover artwork and release date for her upcoming fourth album, C,XOXO, following the release of her single, "I Luv It," which features rapper Playboi Carti, in March.

in an interview with Billboard released on June 11, Normani recently addressed the possibility of a Fifth Harmony reunion after Ally Brooke teased one could be happening last year during an interview with E! News in October 2023, where she said the "Work from Home" group "may be working on something" that would arrive "sooner than we'd think."

"I don’t know. Not to my knowledge," Normani told the publication. "But I definitely see that being a possibility in the future. That would be a special moment for sure."
