Panera Introduces a New Sweet Breakfast Menu Inspired by the 'Little Treat' Trend on TikTok

Why enjoy a little treat when you can enjoy a big treat?

Panera is putting a spin on TikTokers' love for treating themselves to a small snack. The chain is amping it up with the “Big Treat Menu.” The latest menu rolls out on Friday, June 28.

Social media users joke about rewarding themselves with a “little treat” after accomplishing any task, even the smallest and most mundane. But no matter how insignificant the to-do item is, Panera thinks customers deserve a substantial treat.

The new, limited-time CinnaTops are just one of the over-the-top items on the viral-inspired menu. The summer item takes a frosted cinnamon roll and tops it with one of three choices: candy cookie, choco chipper cookie or fudgy brownie.

If fans prefer a little protein in their sugary breakfast, the “Big Treat Menu” has just the item: the CinnaScramble. In this breakfast sandwich, scrambled eggs and American cheese are stacked between cinnamon rolls. Plus, the items can be ordered with bacon or sausage.

Though not part of the treat menu, customers can also try Panera’s new Bacon Double Take, the Steak & Wake or the Ham, Egg & Cheese for a savory start to the day. 

As the name suggests, the first combines double the amount of bacon found on a typical Panera breakfast sandwich with American cheese and provolone on slices of black pepper focaccia. The limited-time steak option sandwiches thinly sliced steak, white Cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs between ciabatta bread. Lastly, the Ham, Egg & Cheese sandwich has, well, ham, egg and white Cheddar cheese on ciabatta bread. 

Popeye’s has a new saucy treat on its own menu. As of June 25, the chicken chain has boneless chicken wings in six different flavors. 

The wings, made with all-white meat chicken breast, are breaded and fried before being coated in one of the six sauces: classic, honey lemon pepper, signature hot, honey BBQ, sweet n’ spicy and roasted garlic parmesan. 

Now customers can score a six-piece of the boneless wings for free with any $10 purchase when ordering through the app or online through July 14. All flavors are available as part of the deal.
