Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks is an American actor and filmmaker. He rose to fame in the '80s on ABC's Bosom Buddies. Hanks' most famous films include Splash (1983), Big (1988), A League of Their Own (1992), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Cast Away (2000), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Sully (2016), A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019) and Elvis (2022). He also voiced Woody in the Toy Story franchise and directed and starred in 2011's Larry Crowne.  Hanks won two back-to-back Academy Awards for Best Actor in 1994 and 1995 for his performances in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump. He has also earned seven Emmys for series he co-wrote and co-produced, including Band of Brothers, Olive Kitteridge, Game Change, John Adams and From the Earth to the Moon.
