How to Configure IPv6 Access for AWS Client VPN with Static IP for Whitelisting

0

I have set up an AWS Client VPN and it provides an IPv6 address when I connect with the VPN profile. For IPv4, I have used a NAT Gateway to assign a static IP to the profile, allowing me to whitelist this IP in my IP sets and access my website.

However, I'm encountering an issue with IPv6. I am unable to connect to the website using the IPv6 address assigned by the VPN.

Steps I've Taken:

Created an AWS Client VPN. Successfully assigned a static IPv4 address using a NAT Gateway. Whitelisted the static IPv4 address in my IP sets to access my website.

How can I configure the IPv6 address provided by the AWS Client VPN for access to my website? Is there a way to assign a static IPv6 address or handle IPv6 traffic similarly to how I handled IPv4 traffic with a NAT Gateway? What are the best practices for ensuring IPv6 connectivity through AWS Client VPN for accessing websites? Any guidance or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Additional Information: My website is currently configured to accept connections based on whitelisted IP addresses. The VPN connection and IPv4 whitelisting work perfectly, but I need a solution for IPv6. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,

At this moment, Client VPN supports IPv4 traffic only.
