DNS resolution error

What are the scenarios where a service would not be able to resolve the DNS name? and is back up automatically.

any issue with the requestor itself? Network issue in the R53? (can be up automatically) IP address change of that particular instance? (don't think this will be a case, but possible)

Hello,

DNS resolution error can occur due to several scenarios:

DNS Server Problems: If the DNS server, such as AWS Route 53, is experiencing issues, it can lead to resolution errors. These issues might get resolved automatically once the DNS service is back up.

Configuration Errors: Misconfigured DNS settings or incorrect DNS records can cause resolution errors. This typically requires manual intervention to correct the configuration.

TTL (Time to Live) Expiry: If an IP address associated with a DNS name changes and the DNS records have a low TTL, there might be a brief period where the DNS name cannot be resolved until the new IP address propagates.
