3rd Party User Access

0

I'll let you know upfront I'm not a Techie. So, please be patient with me.

How do I allow 3rd Party User Access to my Server for our Web Design Provider? Also, it seems I have to know what to allow? If anyone could help with both, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance, Rob

Thanks for asking, hope you have someone who can handle and implement security best practice in your org, follow this blog https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/mt/how-to-grant-least-privilege-access-to-third-parties-on-your-private-ec2-instances-with-aws-systems-manager/

In a nutshell you are going to create a role for the web design provider and give permissions to that role to access your server.

  • Hi SriniV, WOW! That's A LOT! So, I don't have anyone who can handle and implement security best practice for my org. Would AWS be someone who can do that/set that up for me?

  • You probably need to look for a managed service provider who can help advise your business on technical projects, just like you would have a lawyer or CPA for legal and financial issues. You can do a lot yourself but if you don't know what to look out for, you are leaving a lot of room for very bad things to happen.
