In honor of That ’70s Show‘s 25th anniversary, TVLine is taking the Vista Cruiser on a trip down memory lane.
The Fox series packed in more cameos than your average teen sitcom during its 200-episode run, inviting primetime legends, rock-and-roll gods and early-aughts icons to come play in 1970-something Wisconsin. So what better way to mark the series turning a quarter-century old than revisiting some of those unforgettable cameos?
We might not have a car that runs on water, man, but we do have a pretty comprehensive list of famous faces that drove through Point Place. That includes multiple cast members from ’70s classics The Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Mary Tyler Moore, The Partridge Family, Three’s Company and WKRP in Cincinnati. You’ll also find stars from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Married… With Children, The O.C., The Office, Parenthood, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and 3rd Rock From the Sun. There’s even a future six-time Oscar nominee in the mix, in a role that marked one of her first on-screen appearances ever.

Nearly the whole WJM gang’s here! Harper played Kitty’s sister Paula in Season 3; White recurred as Kitty’s mother Bea in Season 5; Moore appeared as local talk show host Christine St. George in Season 8; and MacLeod guest-starred as barfly Smitty (also in Season 8).
Happy Days’ Marion and Howard Cunningham appeared separately. Ross recurred in Seasons 1 and 2 as Red’s overbearing mother Bernice, while Bosley guest-starred in Season 8 as Jackie’s therapist, Dr. Hammond.
The former Brady Bunch bros (aka Greg and Peter) were enlisted to play Red and Kitty’s gay next-door neighbors in Season 8.
TV’s erstwhile Jan Brady cameoed as Jackie’s mother Pam in Season 1. But when Mrs. Burkhart resurfaced in Season 6, she was played by another 1970s child star.
Bonaduce guest-starred as Fatso Burger boss Ricky in Seasons 1 and 3, while his Partridge Family mom cameoed as herself in a Brady Bunch Variety Hour-inspired dream sequence (also in Season 3).
“Cuchi, cuchi, cuchi!” You couldn’t escape Charo if you watched TV in the ’70s, so it was only natural that she’d pop up in a dream sequence — the same dream sequence as Jones.
The Southern soul legend “reimagined” the theme from Shaft in a Season 8 fantasy sequence set at Fez’s salon.
Three’s Company’s Jenilee Harrison (Cindy Snow) and Richard Kline (Larry Dallas) served as Bob and Midge’s dates in Season 2, while the late Don Knotts’ final credit was a Season 8 cameo as Mr. Furley “The Landlord.”
Point Place High had quite the music department! The “I Will Survive” songstress made a cameo as music instructor Mrs. Clark in Season 1, while the Who frontman guest-starred as choir director Mr. Wilkinson in Season 4.
Hesseman appeared in Seasons 3 and 4 as WKRP WFPP station manager Max, while his WKRP in Cincinnati costar recurred in Seasons 7 and 8 as Hyde’s biological father William.
Two years after Married… With Children wrapped its 11-year run, Sagal returned to Fox as Edna “Mother of Steven” Hyde midway through Season 1.
Executive producers Bonnie and Terry Turner enlisted not one, not two, but three 3rd Rock From the Sun stars to pull double duty. Levitt was first up, as Eric’s gay lab partner Buddy in Season 1; Knight appeared as an angel in the It’s a Wonderful Life-inspired Season 4 opener; and Stewart, a veteran of The New WKRP in Cincinnati, was reunited with Hesseman (also in Season 4).
The Godfather of Shock Rock appeared in Eric’s nightmares after Donna got a gig at WFPP in Season 3. He even brought one of his pythons!
Long before NBC’s Young Rock chronicled the Johnson family history, The Rock played his own father, fellow legendary wrestler Rocky Johnson, in Season 1.
The Sabrina, the Teenage Witch duo appeared as Patty and Mary, gal pals who cast a love spell on Hyde and Fez, in Season 2.
Someone in the casting department must have really liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Dushku guest-starred as “Sizzling Sarah” in Season 7, while Green and Hannigan appeared in Seasons 5 and 6 as obnoxious classmate Mitch Miller and police cadet Sally Simpson.
In one of her first roles ever, the future six-time Oscar nominee guest-starred in Season 2 as Kat Peterson, the popular girl who would only agree to hook up with Hyde in secret. Good call.
Just two months before The Office debuted on NBC, the future Pam Beesly appeared in a Season 7 episode as bridal shop owner Stacy.
The same year that Chicken of the Sea left her dumbfounded on national TV, the pop star recurred in Season 5 as Kelso’s girlfriend Annette.
“Point Place? Ew!” The O.C. actress appeared in a Season 6 episode as Christy, the object of Fez’s affection, at the wedding of Mitch’s brother Jack.
At the height of her early-2000s fame, Lohan appeared in one episode as Danielle, a flirty client at Fez’s salon who sparked an argument between Fez and Kelso.
Following her breakout role in Traffic, the future Parenthood star played a Price Mart employee with the hots for Eric Red.
OMG, it’s Uncle Phil! The Fresh Prince alum recurred as Kelso’s commanding officer at the police academy in Season 6.
Ashton Kutcher was married to Demi Moore when her ex-husband agreed to a cameo. The Die Hard star appeared in Kutcher’s final episode as Playboy Club head of security Vic.
We saved the best for last. Because who better to counsel Leia Forman’s parents than the big screen’s Lando Calrissian? He appeared in Season 6 as a pastor who considers Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope to be among the best movies of all time.

Wow, what a list! It pales in comparison to a similar list for Seinfeld, but is still pretty impressive. That 70’s Show is, and always will be, one of my favorite TV series of all time.
