AMERICAN AUTO (NBC)

Ended: April 18, 2023 (after two seasons)
What Would Have Happened in Season 3: Just days after NBC hit the brakes on the Ana Gasteyer-led workplace comedy, series creator Justin Spitzer shared on Twitter that Season 3″ was going to show Katherine Hastings and Payne Motors finally finding success and taking the world by storm.”
In the Season 2/series finale, Gasteyer’s Katherine scored an unexpected win with sales of the unimpressive Pika car, allowing her and her team to keep their jobs. In the wake of that, “she can start meeting the company in the way she wants to meet it,” Spitzer told TVLine during a post mortem interview. “She can start making her mark, and she can start being more active and less reactive.”
Would like to knoe about Scorpion & Numb3rs.
Still mad at ABC Family for canceling Bunheads and 10 Things I Hate About You.
Also still holding on to my 90s Fave Caroline in the City. 🤷🏼♀️
Whiskey Cavalier. Still really irked about that one!!
Whiskey Cavalier! I’m still really annoyed that was cancelled!
What about Glow?
Still mad about The Glades!!!
What about Glow?
Still mad about The Glades!
Here’s a few more I would add:
Deputy
Emergence
The Kindred
The Passage
Vampire Academy
And my most missed show:
Falling Water. It only ran for 2 seasons. Season 1 was super good, season 2 was really boring UNTIL the finale. I was so looking forward to season 3! 😪
I’m still sad about Grand Hotel.
I’d have loved a Baby-Sitters Club Super Special. I wish they could still do one, even as a TV movie, somewhere. Hawaii Five-O’s plans don’t sound all that great, but that kind of sums up Seasons 8-10, too. Still, it sounds way better than the crap Castle had planned for us. What were they smoking over there?
I’d have loved a Baby-Sitters Club Super Special. I wish they could do one, even as a TV movie. Hawaii Five-O’s plans don’t sound all that great (but that’s how I felt about seasons 8-10 as well). Still, I would have preferred that to the crap Castle planned for season 9. Yuck!
Tru Calling – They did give detailed explanation on where things were going and it was actually pretty good. After Tru lied about her boyfriend asking her for help the day he died and she saves him – it seems he was going to get obsessed with the notion of death and become a serial killer or something like that.
Another one is The Adventures of Sinbad – from the 90s. The lesser known step brother of Hercules and Xena (not same production, but same style)
They were supposed to have a season 3 but got cancelled due to new owners or something like that. But they had the next season planned out. Which included that Brynn (the amnesiac sorcerers that joined them) is actually the villain’s Romina half sister. Their father Faruk did manage to come back to life and he would shift from being an enemy to them or an ally against his evil daughter.
And the rainbow bracelets were going to be told to have been given to people who died by a dragon like being who will tell them they will usher a good future of humanity before going off to fight saint George.
Chasing Life was one of the best shows on TV.
I had just finished cancer treatment and it was comforting to see this show so accurately portray the reality of the situation.
I wish it had been given another season to complete April’s journey.
One day, you all have to find out what would have happened if we got a fifth season of Soap (ABC).
Would have loved to know what would have happened with Flash Forward? Intriguing concept but only lasted one season, so we still have no idea why everyone blacked out for the 2+ minutes.
Anyone who loved Ethan Peck in 10 Things, etc. should check out Star Trek Strange New Worlds. Young hot Spock. Need I say more?
American Auto – the way that they always had to be reactive was what made the show. Much like as on VEEP they were always trying to put out a fire.
What about “Graceland” and “Instinct”? It’s been years but I’d love to what would’ve happened next.
I have stopped caring about series being cancelled going all the way back to when The Dresden Files was cancelled. That series deserved more than a thirteen episode run. That was the last straw for me. Now, I usually just watch older stuff. Any new programs that I watch, I make sure that I don’t get emotionally invested in them continuing on. Getting emotionally invested just doesn’t change anything.
They have been airing the reruns of The Dresden Files on Amazon’s Freevee.
What about V?
That cancellation was infuriating!
I would love to know about Wisdom Of The Crowd and Limitless. Especially Wisdom
Of The Crowd – it’s really sad that had to end for the reasons it did. I loved that show and really want to know what happened!
The headline said, “What would have happened on So Help Me Todd, etc., and then gave us a huge list of shows that were canceled YEARS ago, that we’ll never see again, and don’t care – they were obviously canceled for a reason!!. Never did find So Help Me Todd, so thanks for wasting my time hunting for it.
Still miss “The Baker & The Beauty”. I loved the kaleidoscopic romcom vibe, and especially Vanessa and Mateo.
Another show that I found similarly satisfying was “The Big Leap”. It featured so many enjoyable couples. I was particularly rooting for Nick/Monica and Justin/Simon at the end of the season.
The most devastating cancellation for me was “My So-Called Life”, which predated my ready access to interviews with TPTB about what would have happened next. I guess maybe I should watch the DVDs and see if they cover some of that in the extras…
Been thinking of watching “Lovecraft Country”. Does it have a conclusion that works as a limited series or is there a cliffhanger?
Castle was one of my all-time favorite shows, and this is why I was hoping ABC was going to cancel it. To think that the powers-that-be thought fans would tune in to see Castle, Haley, and Alexis instead of Castle and Beckett was pathetic and laughable. They really didn’t understand why fans tuned into their show.
We always wanted to find out what would have happened to the crew of Scorpion, but sadly, we’ll never know!
