ONE MONTH TO GO! On September 1st, I'll be running The Big Half in London to raise some much needed cash for The Film and TV Charity. Now in its 100th year, the charity offers counseling and emergency financial support to the true stars behind the scenes in the UK. Your sponsorship would mean so much to those who need it most and will in return contribute to bringing the best content to the big and small screen. Any sponsorship will be hugely appreciated - ps://https://lnkd.in/g6Mhs5a2 #WeAreFilmandTV #TheBigHalf

I've been a dedicated freelancer in the Film & TV industry for 22 incredible years. Like many in our field, I've had moments where I've needed the invaluable support of the Film & TV Charity. These last few years have been a real challenge for many, with COVID-19 and industry strikes hitting us all hard. Now, it's my turn to give back to this fantastic organisation, so they can continue their vital work helping our film industry family in times of need. Please support me and The Film and TV Charity by donating whatever you can. #mentalhealth #filmmaker #London10000 #doitforyou

Big up The Film and TV Charity for reminding those in the industry that support is on hand. These are stressful times. Bectu Philippa Childs are doing the same, as well as reminding media organisations about their duty of care to staff in this moment. Let’s hope National Union of Journalists follow suit. Ofc I am not speaking for everyone here, but being an ethnic minority journalist on-air reporting these events, whilst having to remain emotionless & impartial, can take a unique toll.
