It would appear that presidential wannabe Mitt Romney is fighting a similar battle as Rick Santorum on the internet search giants Google and Bing.

Santorum’s anti gay comments led to the web site SpreadingSantorum.com being created. To say the least the site is not very flattering. To make matters worse a Google search on ‘Santorum’ places the site in a very high ranking position, (number two when I checked this morning).  Google explained that the search ranking is an entirely automated process, so ‘it is what it is’!

Of course SpreadingSantorum.com is a site that has been around for quite some time, and most Google experts agree that a web sites age does have an effect on placement.

It would seem that Mitt Romney is now facing a very similar problem. A Google or Bing search on ‘Romney’ is showing a web site SpreadingRomney.com suddenly appearing on the coveted first page of the search results.

What is curious about SpreadingRomney.com is that there seems little technical reason why it should rank so highly. The site is very small, it contains almost no information other than the new definition of the word Romney – To Defecate in Terror. The site is also only about one month old.

So what is going on here? How come a seemingly inconsequential site is garnering such Google love?

I am sure that by Monday the Main Stream Media (MSM) will be reporting about the new site, then watch the defecation hit the fan! It will be interesting to see what the Romney camp has to say on the subject.

For those of you that do not understand the definition of ‘Romney’, it is a reference to Mitt Romney transporting his dog in a kennel strapped to the roof of his car, and apparently didn’t enjoy the ride and ended up having diarrhea that trickled down the car while Romney was driving.
