Jolynn Lee is a Christian writer, speaker, and passionate military community advocate. During her 30 years as a military spouse, Jolynn worked as an exceptional children’s teacher for a decade before returning to school to pursue a graduate degree in counseling from Liberty University. She also possesses graduate certificates from East Carolina University in Substance Abuse Counseling and Military & Trauma Counseling. She chose a trauma specialization to better support individuals with such experiences.
Jolynn absolutely believes in the power of the personal story to inspire transformational change in others. One of her favorite symbols is the starfish, as the starfish represents a parable of making a difference against all odds. She believes when we share our story, the ripple effect is endless as through those brave stories we inspire change, one life at a time. Megan B. Brown is a seasoned military spouse, mother, Bible teacher, and military missionary. She is passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the active-duty military community in the hopes of kickstarting restoration and revival. A graduate of Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Ministry Leadership, Megan lives in south Mississippi with her husband, M. Sgt. Keith Brown, U.S. Air Force, and their four energetic children.

This book is a compilation of women whom have served as active duty military and those who serve as active ditty military spouses. Each story brings a unique light to what military women go through and their sacrifices. Each story brings hope to what they have gained and learned from deployments, serving, and sacrificing. I commend each author and woman who wrote their story and thank you for sharing!

I felt known in the pages of this book

There is something truly unique about a military women and spouses....and that’s what this book explores and celebrates 🙌🏻
As a Navy wife, I felt VERY KNOWN in the pages of this book. I highlighted so much and even stopped to journal several times. Each spouse and female service member shares their unique story and perspective and I just appreciated everyone’s point of view so much. I felt less alone in things like marital struggles, pressure on the family, deployments, friendship difficulties and the sacrifice of personal dreams. At the same time, I was reminded of how ‘worth it’ this lifestyle is and all of the many unique benefits.
I highly, highly recommend this book to all my fellow military spouses and will be ordering many more copies of these to pass along to any spouses who could use the wisdom ❤️🙌🏻

Hoo Rah for Military Spouse Warriors!

Nitty gritty, real deal, honest life as a military spouse.

This book is the first I've read that honestly tackles real life as a military spouse. It erases the idea that having a military spouse is romantic & fun. Being a military spouse is hard, rewarding, depressing, uplifting, exciting and nerve wracking. It's stolen moments with the love of your life, enduring the hard & creating your own beauty. It's relying on God and knowing He'll put the perfect person in your life at the perfect time. These spouses shared their hearts and their struggles. If you want a book written to be honest, not sugary sweet - this is a must read.
