This Review is for the PTU-1U & PTU-2U since they are both actually the same product. 1 Unit Comes with 1 Microphone and the Other Comes with 2 Microphones. First Off we have waited almost a Year to write this review because we wanted to give a honest review. As a band / Ministry we travel a-lot through out the year and have taken these Microphones with us to almost every event, concert, gig and even our livestreams and it haven’t failed us yet. Range and Audio Is Crystal Clear and Haven’t had any dropouts especially since it’s a True Diversity Wireless System. The Receiver has a ton of Features Like Squelch, Auto Scan, Unit-Lock up and Many More. The sound quality you get from this Unit is Great But isn’t by any means at the same level of a Shure or Sennheiser. But guess what??? It will still get the job done and 90% of people using it or at Venue hearing it wont ever tell the difference. 2 AA Batteries and a Rubber Stopper are Also Included. Battery Life Is About 16hrs (Depending How Much You Use The System). The build quality is rugged and tougher than what it seems. It comes with a travel case and mounting accessories. The Power plug is very long about 6-8ft and it also has rubber feet if you want to put it on a table or any flat surface. The Capsule and Grille Are Both Removable and can be Changed If Damaged or if you want to customize it with a Different Color Grille!

Only Con is the excessive Handling Noise Phenyx Pro Microphones Have but this Unit has improved on it by a lot. If They can Fix This Issue with all of their Wireless Microphones systems Then They will be a giving Shure and Sennheiser a run for their Money.

If Money is an issue and you want a Great True Diversity Wireless Microphone System Then look no Further than the PTU-1U / PTU-2U. It’s a Must Buy on A Budget In My Opinion!

I like to break my reviews down into categories I refer to as the P's.

PURPOSE
Simply put, reliable wireless audio on stage.

PERFORMANCE
The performance was actually great. I used this system in various situations where I’d expect for dropouts and interference to happen, but I didn’t experience either when using this system. I used it in a club with a small stage, a church with a large choir stand, and an outdoor festival with at least thousands of people. The sound was clear, the battery life was great, and I like the sturdy feel of the microphones. I didn’t experience the dropouts others have claimed happen when holding the mic a certain way.

PORTS
Two XLR Male for separate outputs, One 1/4 female for combined outputs, 4 antenna mounts, and one small barrel connector for power.

PEEVES (dislikes)
The thing I dislike most about this unit is that it doesn’t use an IEC port to supply power. I hate wall warts because they take up too much space in my rack, and I always have to sacrifice an outlet to make them fit. An IEC power connector would be better since every other unit in my rack uses them and I have plenty of extra IEC cables laying around in various lengths and angles for the perfect fit.

Also, the mics have a bright eq curve, and I found I had to roll off the highs a bit for a better mix. That eq profile may work better for people who like to eat the mic, but I prefer to use the mic about 6 to 12 inches away from my mouth for better dynamic control. When using the mics this way without rolling off the highs, I found they were more susceptible to feedback.

PRICE
The price of this unit will initially make you second guess it, BUT after doing a direct comparison with a Sennheiser unit I have that costs twice the price and is only a single handheld unit, I’ve decided to sell my Sennheiser unit. The price is excellent for what this Phenyx Pro system delivers.

Definitely a great addition to my stage rack! I have used all types of Phenyx Pro mics, and they have done it again! These mics sound fantastic! Crisp and clear with no interference or dropouts even at around 300 ft. I use them for live performance as well as karaoke. The mics are metal, very well built and sturdy. Although I haven't let the batteries run down all the way before changing, battery life has been excellent. I do 6 gigs a week and they have lasted at least 2 gigs at 4 hours each. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a high-end wireless mic system at a low price.

I bought the 1U unit and it is truly flawless. Sounds great, no discernible delay, great range and no drops. I bought the 2U unit as I needed more wireless mics. The 1U kit comes with a mic clip and an antenna kit that allows you to attach it to the front base plate. The 2U does NOT come with Mic clips and requires you to purchase an additional kit to mount antennas in the front. In reality, buying the 2U doesn't save you much, it just saves you rack space. Performance is great, but feel like the 2U kit should come with an way to mount antennas in the front and come with mic clips.

Franchement j'ai lu beaucoup de comparatifs avant de me décider sur une marque a priori de second plan mais qui néanmoins dans sa gamme pro se montre plus que performante même lorsqu'on le compare à des marques célèbres qu'il n'est pas la peine de nommer. Perso je trouve le produit facile qui se connecte tout seul sur les deux micros pour moi sur un mixage central avec une sortie mixte des deux micro derrière ce qu'il me fallait pour brancher en direct sur un clavier avec ma chanteuse c'est idéal et tous les doubles micro sans fil n'ont pas toujours cette fonction. Je recommande sans hésitation même au niveau qualité de fabrication/finition pour moi c'est irréprochable.
