It reminded me of a Disney animatronics from the 1960s. They had these animated plastic statues at Disneyland where you had half a dozen historical figures who would say something about themselves and what they did. So here you had these major figures from black history rather woodenly offering their different perspectives in a claustrophobic motel room. The premise was a bit bizarre. It is true that Malcolm X was there are the fight and led Ali to conversion, but I find it inconceivable that Ali would spend the night after his first world championship hanging out in a motel room with gloomy Malcolm.
