This company is absolutely the worst company I've ever worked with in my life. They wouldn't provide an accurate moving date until 1 day before the expected date of pickup. It would take an infinite number of calls and time in order to reach a representative who would always be extremely rude in response to any questions. On the day of pickup, no movers arrive. I receive no call from the company. After calling the company 5 times, the company informs me that the driver is sick and will not be coming (learned the following day that the driver was not sick, but the company simply overbooked the jobs that day and were behind schedule). Lies abound with this company. The movers arrive the next day; one mover appears on marijuana and the other appears homeless. The amount of belongings was minimal. After 4 hours, nothing has been moved into the truck and they have proceeded to make the house much more disorganised. At the 4hr ***** I went to use one of the restrooms in the house. I opened the door, and the entire toilet was overflooding with f**** The f**** was spilling onto the bathroom floor. I shut off the water, and went to discuss the situation with the movers. One of the movers stated he clogged the toilet and didn't tell anyone, and proceeded to do nothing about the situation. The entire bathroom was coated with f**** I unclogged the toilet and cleaned the bathroom for the next 2 hours with every towel in the house. The movers didn't help at all. I called the company, and they didn't apologise nor offer any immediate compensation. Later, they would offer $250 and that's it, despite the literal shittiest job imaginable. Again, absolutely no remorse from the company at any point. They delivered the items to NC way outside the delivery window (shocking I know), with again no apology and very little input. Managers who don't gave a s*** about customers.

We are currently in the middle of a move from the ******* to the ********** with American Van Lines. I was going to wait until our move was complete, but I don't think this could wait because I'm so upset. From the beginning we told them that we DO NOT need a shuttle as the Semi truck WILL be able to access the house. But what happened they showed up with a small U-Haul that couldn't fit all our household goods and charged us a $1200 shuttle fee. We have at least 20 emails back and forth pertaining to this, but they wont own up to their mistake. Now we are getting ready to get our goods delivered and we called and told them that NO SHUTTLE is required, but what does the paper work say, shuttle scheduled. I do want to get one thing straight, ***** and his guys moved our house and did an outstanding job, its the behind the scenes customer service representatives that need some more on-the-job-training and the ability to pay attention to detail. By the looks of all the reviews the past 3 months, this will go on death ears. I did 20 years of service in the Air Force and have moved at least 5 times cross country and BY FAR this is the worst experience to date. We will be moving again in 5 years due to our jobs and I can say with 100% confidence I will pay ANOTHER company to move us. Again, ***** and his guys did an outstanding job. Thanks.

This was by far the BEST move that weve ever had! Weve moved 6 times in the past 11 years all within *************, and have used several different moving companies. Each time, we had issues and headaches, but American Van Lines and specifically ******* and his team were exceptional! They showed up on time, and they were hard-working, motivated, efficient, and organized. They tackled very heavy / large pieces of furniture down a narrow staircase with zero issues. They packed our kitchen with efficiency. They were fast but also took the time to blanket wrap all of our furniture and took great care with everything that they moved. ******* was extremely pleasant, professional, and positive. They were truly a pleasure to work with! We cannot recommend American Van Lines and their entire team enough! Thank you for a great move!

******* the main driver, packer, and mover for American Van Lines was absolutely terrific in handling my complicated move from ***********, ******* back to ***********, ********** just terrific highly recommend ******* when you book with American Van Lines, which I have now used twice for two different cross country. Major moves. ******** assistant **** was also great very hard, worker, accommodating, and polite and efficient as well.

Juels did a great job packing and moving our stuff. No Hassel, very easy to move with.

Job ******* ************************* American Vanlines moved all of our things from ********** to ******* and did a great job.Specifically the whole cycle was mainly run by ***** who is a great guy - very friendly and very efficient. He actually drove the huge truck all the way from ********** to ******* himself.Everything arrived when he said it would arrive and nothing was broken or damaged. They wrapped all the fragile pieces and took very good care of all our stuff.It was also done at a fair price. We also found the office staff friendly and efficient as well.I would recommend this company (and *****) to anyone who needs to move any great distance.You will be well taken care of.KZ

The truck drivers were awesome. Very nice and professional. The office workers were another story. They don't call you back, are not helpful, do not communicate with the drivers, and don't care about customer service.

************, and his team did a superb job! They were very professional, helpful, Accommodating and personable. We could not have asked for a better experience, they did a wonderful job, highly recommend!
