Mayonaka Punch episode 1 recap
The episode introduces Masaki, a once-famous Newtuber, alongside her friends. However, after some minor altercations, she was fired from the group. She watches her former group announce her departure and goes to confront them.
She tries to start a solo career, but the negative comments overwhelm her, and she stops. Masaki then decides to hire someone to work with her. Meanwhile, at the Banpai mansion, a vampire named Live dreams of sucking Masaki’s blood. She wakes up to discover she’s been asleep for twenty years. She then stumbles upon Masakichi’s picture and is stunned to see the girl from her dream exists.
Meanwhile, Masakichi struggles with recruitment, as everyone only wants to interview her for being violent. Masakichi goes to drink and ends up at the abandoned hospital, where she and her former group shot their first video. She then sees Live rummaging through the hospital supplies and panics.
Live is stunned to see her and introduces herself. However, Masakichi runs away to the roof. Live tries to calm her down, but she falls off the roof. Live saves her, and they fly around the city. The episode ends with Masakichi offering up her blood in exchange for Live helping her hit a million subscribers.
