The workplace romance Chinese drama As Beautiful as You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 18 on July 11, 2024. As seen in the official trailer, Ji Xing (Tan Songyun) resigns from her job on a whim to pursue her dream of opening her own company. Episode 18 focuses on Ji Xing and Han Ting (Xu Kai) attending the AI expo.
In this episode, Ji Xing bumps into Han Ting during their lunch break at the expo. Ji Xing shares what she has prepared to present at the event. She is impressed to see how well-connected Han Ting is with people she has admired for years. Han Ting notices Ji Xing’s admiration and connects her with those people so they can aid her guidance. Their conversation is interrupted when Miss Zeng enters the restaurant and sits right beside Han Ting.
She applauds Ji Xing for securing a spot at the forum, even as a startup company. Zeng Di even goes as far as giving the whole credit to Han Ting and Dongyang Medical. She apologizes to Ji Xing for their past misunderstandings but slyly blames Ji Xing for the whole thing. Furthermore, she attempts to get close to Han Ting. Ji Xing now knows that she was used as a scapegoat at her previous company. She politely takes her leave.

Shortly after Ji Xing leaves, Han Ting asks the waiter to pack his food. He reminds Zeng Di that Ji Xing is no longer an employee of her company and she is now running a company. He asks her not to bring up old stories. Meanwhile, Mr. Chang gave Zeng Di an expensive necklace. She doesn’t seem to understand why he keeps pampering her. Mr. Chang reminds her that he cares for her, unlike Han Ting. He offers to invest double the amount of what Han Ting invested in her company. But Zeng Di turns down his offer.
Meanwhile, Han Ting finds Ji Xing upset and sitting by the sea. He brought her lunch. Han Ting advises her not to mess with Zeng Di, as she is the boss of a big company. Since the circle is small, she can pull tricks and get in trouble. He suspects that Zeng Di was behind the raw materials incident as well. Furthermore, he asks Ji Xing to play her cards wisely.
Tan Songyun & Xu Kai grab the spotlight at the expo
Ji Xing arrives at the forum and takes her seat in the last row. Han Ting delivers an inspiring speech. Ji Xing is surprised to see that he includes pieces of their previous conversations in his speech. After the speech is over, participants are encouraged to ask questions. Even though Ji Xing raises her hand, Han Ting seems to ignore her. Just when she is about to give up, he calls out her name. Her clever question grabs everyone’s attention.
After answering her question, Han Ting used the opportunity to introduce Ji Xing and her company. He praises her noble initiative and helps her grab the spotlight.
What happens in As Beautiful As You episode 18’s ending?
After the forum, Ji Xing calls Han Ting to express her gratitude. She is annoyed when Han Ting doesn’t say much and quickly hangs up the call. The next day, Li Li and Zhou arrive in Shenzhen to help Ji Xing at the exhibition. They are disappointed to see that their booth is smaller than the other booths and is at a location that doesn’t grab much attention.
Ji Xing overhears the other participants talking behind her back. They are jealous and they criticize her for having Han Ting’s support. Ji Xing decides to ignore.
