GLOSSY black to brown with a chestnut head and neck, found in fresh and brackish waters, particularly bolons and mangrove creeks. This one had FLUFFED ITS SELF UP , after coming out the water to dry.

Had to stop along a very narrow road to get this shot of the view though a gap in the trees, risked my life so I hope you like it ;-)

A smallish wader (21cm in length) quite elegant, with longer legs than similar sized waders, more of a passage migrant in the U.K, but a sheer delight to see.
