New customer discounts

One of the best Target deals is their new customer discount; customers receive a 10% discount on their first order. A little-known bonus: You can also stack this discount with many other applicable offers.

Get free shipping

We always suggest spending $35 or more at Target to qualify for the brand’s free shipping offer. You don’t even need to use a Target coupon code to unlock it—the discount automatically applies.

Verify your student status

Target offers a student discount on many categories, including housewares, clothes, and tech. To get set up, visit "Settings" in your Target account, then select "Get Verified" and follow the instructions.

Verify your military status

Target deals include a military discount for active-duty and retired military personnel, as well as their families, with valid ID. The military discount is available at all locations when you present a valid military ID card or another form of identification that shows your current rank, name, and branch of service. You may also show a photo ID such as a driver's license or passport with your name and current rank.

Verify your first responder status

Target also offers a first responder discount of $5 off every $25 spent in the store. You can redeem this offer by showing your ID card on your next visit.

Become a rewards member

Target has a rewards program called Target Circle. You’ll enjoy access to deals automatically applied at checkout, earn Target Circle Rewards, and save with personalized deals.

Get cashback

The retailer offers cashback on eligible items through Target Circle credit and debit cards; you can receive 2% cashback on dining and gas purchases and 1% back on purchases outside of the store. Every once in a while, Target releases promo codes for an additional 1% cashback on all purchases made in-store, saving you even more money.

How to redeem a promo code

Redeeming Target promo codes is simple: Click any relevant Target coupons, copy the codes, and apply them at checkout. Go to the promotions tab and click "redeem a coupon" under the red box, "Target Coupons." You will then be taken to a page with all the available coupons and offers. (You must have a Target account to redeem some deals.)
