Palestinians have long declared that Jesus was a Palestinian. So has Rep. Ilhan Omar.
In exploring some of the roots of how and where Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) came to be deemed a Palestinian, the Israeli monitoring agency Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) exposed a Palestinian Authority TV interview in which author Samih Ghanadreh from Nazareth was asked about his new book Christianity and its Connection to Islam. Ghanadeh stated that he personally heard Yasser Arafat several times affirm that Jesus was the first Palestinian martyr, and the TV host replied: “Jesus was a Palestinian, no one denies that.”
PMW cited the regularity of this declaration by prominent Palestinians, including the Governor of Ramallah Leila Ghannam (“We all have the right to be proud that Jesus is a Palestinian”), senior PA leader Jibril Rajoub (“The greatest Palestinian in history since Jesus is Yasser Arafat“), and an editorial in the PA official daily — Al-Hayat Al-Jadida — that referred to the “holy Trinity” as being Arafat, Abbas and Jesus.
As if this revisionist history were not enough, according to the official Palestinian Authority official daily, Jesus was not only a Palestinian, but a “Palestinian terrorist”:
Portraying a Palestinian terrorist suspected of murder as Jesus is in keeping with the PA’s rewriting history and its fundamental support of terror, which claims that Jesus was the first Palestinian “Martyr”, and that terrorist murderers are heroes.
As bizarre and ridiculous as this sounds, so does an entire so-called “peace process” bent on the destruction of the state of Israel (from the River to the Sea) since the day of its birth.
Christians are not out murdering — or threatening to murder — people for insulting Christianity by presenting Jesus as a jihad terrorist. That’s because Christians are not — and never were — instructed to murder people in their religious texts, which in itself further demonstrates the absurdity of comparing Jesus to a Palestinian martyr.
“Palestinian terrorist is like Jesus, according to official PA daily,” by Itamar Marcus, Palestinian Media Watch, October 29, 2019:
Samer Arbid is the Palestinian terrorist arrested with two others for detonating a bomb which murdered 17-year-old Rina Shnerb and injured her father and brother near the Dolev spring on Aug. 26, 2019.
Arbid, who is a member of the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was hospitalized for 2 weeks soon after his arrest, and the Palestinian Authority claimed that it was a result of his interrogation. Having allegedly been injured by Jews, the official PA daily published a cartoon portraying the terrorist as Jesus on the cross.
Portraying a Palestinian terrorist suspected of murder as Jesus is in keeping with the PA’s rewriting history and its fundamental support of terror, which claims that Jesus was the first Palestinian “Martyr”……

Perhaps some of them might want to actually read the Gospel of Christ some time – along with the rest of the NT – then they might (just might) realise how absurd that claim is.

JESUS WAS NOT A ‘PALESTINIAN’ … JESUS ONLY CALLED HIMSELF ‘A JEW’(Jn4.22) and one the highest compliments recorded in the New Testament is when Jesus called Nathaniel a ‘TRUE ISRAELITE’.
“We Jews know whom we worship because it is from the Jews that salvation comes”
John 4 v 22
Moreover, JESUS WAS A PATRIOTIC ISRAELITE, NEVER A PALESTINIAN
Jesus Christ is a Jew and a descendant of King David {Matthew 1 v 17}. Jesus was a patriotic Israelite who would have no difficulty endorsing Israel’s prophetically-promised right to exist. He was never a Palestinian in any sense, and the word Palestine never appears in the NT.
THE NEW TESTAMENT IS A VERY ZIONIST BOOK. The name “Jerusalem” occurs 146 times in the New Testament.
The New Testament mentions ‘Israel’ or ‘Israelite’ 77 times. In contrast, Jerusalem is NEVER MENTIONED AT ALL in the Koran.
The Koran refers to ‘The LAND’ of Israel as the land Allah assigned to Jews and where Allah commanded Jews to dwell. Consequently, the Koran is also a Zionist book.
Daniel Pipes offered $1 million to anyone who can find “Jerusalem” in the Koran.
Jerusalem occurs 146 times in the New Testament and its synonym ‘Zion’ occurs 7 times.
Since Jerusalem is not mentioned one single time in the Koran, it expresses no awareness of Jerusalem. The locality that is the focus of the Koran is the ‘Forbidden Mosque’ and its exact location is never named. The Umayyads under Abd al-Malik tried (unsuccessfully) to change the religious center from Mecca/Medina to Jerusalem. Except for Caliph Abd al Malik who built the Dome of the Rock, no Arab has thought Jerusalem was of importance to Arabs or to Islam. Arabs have almost entirely ignored Jerusalem for 1400 years. Mosques in Damascus and Baghdad and other shrines were more important by far.
The name ‘Israel’ is mentioned 46 times in the Koran.’The Children of Israel’ are mentioned 20 times in the Quran frequently in the context of ‘The Land’ of Israel.
The name ‘Palestine’ occurs ZERO times in the Koran. ‘Palestine’ is the name given to Israel by the sarcastic Roman conquerors.

Excellent post. After ethnically cleansing the Jews from Israel and Judea in the early 2nd century A.D. (because of the latters’ rebelliousness) the Romans renamed the province Syria Palaestina, after the Jews’ inveterate enemies the Assyrians and the Philistines. The name “Palestine” has nothing to do with the modern and invented “Palestine” and “Palestinian”, as at that time there were no Arabs in that area of the M.E. and Islam woulld not be invented (and it was “invented”) until the early 7th century A.D. Anything contrary to this is revisionism and lies.

Correction: would not be invented…

PS: …perhaps they might wish to equate one of the two other criminals crucified on the crosses to the left and right of the Lord (inparticular the one who did not repent but continued to rail and scoff and mock).

According to Islamic law(correct me if I am wrong) Jesus did not die on the cross ,some else took his place allah deceive the people who saw Jesus die on the cross. Islam is a real hot mess of blending Christianity, Jewish law, ancient pagan myths , trying to co-op every religious practice getting them all wrong with no logical reason in its Koran and Hadiths to justify its practices .Jesus was a Jew from the house of David ,he was a practicing Rabbi in his time even atheist historians can bring up these facts .Jesus live over 600 years before Mohammad had his night terror fever dreams in his cave. Jesus did not lead armies into battle , he did not advocate rape, sex slaves , stealing , murder of men , women or children ,none of his behavior in his life mirror the behavior or laws according to Mohammad or today Jihadist terrorist .
Trick_or_Treat says
Islamic law (so called) and the qur’an are ‘FULL OF IT’!
Jesus came first, as a meek, sacrificial lamb, and the WORD incarnate, to offer the free gift of God’s Salvation from sin to all who wanted to accept it. However, when the line is crossed, and the trump blows, when He returns (and which is on the doorstep) it will be with an army of heaven following him.
Beware, the ‘wrath of the Lamb’.
FYI says
“and the trump blows”..iIknow you meant trumpet ;D
Apparently the islamic misunderstanding of the Trinity ,which they see as 3 separate gods in a polytheism, consists of …..allah,Mary and Jesus….
Mary has nothing to do with the Trinity.
allah is desperate to tell muslims NOT to believe in the Trinity which means the denial of Jesus.
“Say not ‘3’ cease! It is better for you!” koran 4:171
But it ALSO means the denial of God’s Wisdom{the Holy Spirit, one of the ‘dreaded ‘3’},that aspect of God which is necessary to understand Him which is out of bounds to muslims as allah doesn’t want them to believe that.
“it is better for you”.How is it better for muslims not to know about God’s Wisdom{the Real God}?
Yes,it is better from allah’s perspective that muslims don’t know about God’s Holy Spirit of Wisdom{revealed by Jesus Christ in the Gospel}because then they would see how wrong the koran/allah/muhamed/islam is.
The koran does not simply deny Christ;it ALSO denies God’s Wisdom{one of the ‘3’..}:muslims don’t get that but ex-muslims who are now christians will see the problem with allah telling muslims NOT to believe in God’s Wisdom.
Why does allah insist on this?
So that muslims will rely on allah{“the BEST of deceivers” k3;54} FALSE pagan Arab ‘wisdom’ instead.

If Palestinians truly believe that Jesus was a Palestinian, the first thing the PA needs to do is rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem where Jesus made his glorious entry on Palm Sunday in 33 AD. A part of their national heritage!?

The next thing you know, they’ll be saying that Adam and Eve were Palestinians, and that the snake was Jewish. Islamic supremacists make Donald Trump look humble.

Jewdog, Muslims *do* claim that Adam is a Muslim prophet.

The Muslims believe the Philistines were early Palestinians. I presume this is because Hebrew is written without vowels. Of course if this was true they would really belong in Crete. It would also have something to do with the Nephilim.
However revisionist history is very important to Muslims. It allows them to say whatever they like and pretend it is true.
Since the Muslims believe the Bible characters were really Muslims, they could very well believe Adam and Eve were Palestinians.

We should remember who they expect to swallow this garbage. They don’t expect us to. It’s simply designed to move their followers in the direction they want at a particular point in time. “Be nice to Christians for the time being until they find out that they are truly muslims”. Or “Attack Christians because they are denying they are really muslims”. Or any other ridiculous intent they can think up.
Where do these people come from?

What rot. The terrorist is more akin to the criminal who was hanged beside the Son of God and proceeded to mock our Savior.
These claims made about Jesus Christ are slander and libel.
In Revelation 22:19, there is written a warning for all who try to rewrite “what is written,” in God’s Word. If they “add to,’ they will be receiving something they will not like. If they “take away,” something precious will be taken from them.
Christians have every right and duty to call it for what it is, and to call out any person or persons who say these things for what they are: liars. And “disgusting in their filth.”
However, Christians don’t have the responsibility or authority to punish these liars and devil worshippers. Christians gladly leave the punishment for such things with The One Who will carry out Divine Justice and prove once and for all Who Jesus is and what He commands and expects.
That Day of Divine Justice is fast approaching. Jesus promised “He that bears witness of these things says “‘Yes, I am coming quickly.'” As the Apostle John wrote in reply, “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)

The Muslim Arabs keep distorting history, of course to lure the uninformed to Islam. The ridiculous statements they issue are just that ‘ridiculous’ to say least.
I am as a Copt (Orthodox Christian of Egypt) have been taught all kinds of lies and garbage in schools. The parents and the church in Egypt tried extremely hard to teach their children the TRUTH. It was and still is a huge and dangerous task, but it is worth every effort.
I left Egypt to the West to get away from that Islamic nightmare, one can imagine the utter disappointment to what is happening now. Muslims are allowed to say anything without being challenged. They have no shame whatsoever to dismiss facts and replace them with unbelievable garbage and they get away with them. The West will pay heavily for this if they keep their weak attitude.

Official Palestinian daily likens jihad terrorist to Christ on the cross
…………….
So like Muslims. They claim that Jesus was never crucified and murder Christians for this belief, but compare a Jihadist who was arrested for murdering a child with the suffering of Jesus on the cross.
And this sort of thing is not new–the appalling Reza Aslan characterized Jesus as a violent “Palestinian” terrorist in his book “Zealot”.
