“ISIS fighters get to come home and settle back down no problem. Yet my son and me are treated like terrorists. The UK has got its priorities all wrong.”
Yes. That has been true for a very long time now.
“Armed officers swoop on father, 49, for sending £150 to his son who fought with Kurdish forces against jihadis,” by Mark Nicol, Mail On Sunday, December 28, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
The father of a British man who fought against Islamic State in Syria has been arrested by armed police for sending his son £150.
Paul Newey, 49, is accused of funding terrorism, even though his 27-year-old son Dan’s Kurdish-led military unit was backed by Britain and trained by the SAS. After the defeat of ISIS, the Kurdish units have now found themselves in conflict with Turkish forces.
‘ISIS fighters get to come home and settle back down no problem,’ Mr Newey said last night. ‘Yet my son and me are treated like terrorists. The UK has got its priorities all wrong.’
In an exclusive interview, Mr Newey, a mechanical engineer who is recovering from stomach cancer, revealed how:
Eleven anti-terrorism officers burst into his home after an early morning raid as he slept;
He spent 36 hours in a top-security police station in a cell that is normally used for terrorism suspects;
He believes his son ‘risked his life for a noble cause’ fighting with British troops but now fears being locked up if he comes home.Dan Newey, who had no previous military experience, gave up his job as an insurance salesman in 2017 to join the YPG, a Kurdish-led army based in Syria which, at the time, was leading the international military coalition against the threat of ISIS.
A year later, he returned to Britain and was put on a Home Office watchlist. But two months ago he went back to fight with the YPG for a second time….

The UK government is so worried about being called Islamophobic they will be persecute all those who do not bow down to the politically correct tripe.
The Muslim have won we can not speck out against this group. It might hurt their feelings. Yet it is all right to take GOD’s name in vain.
mortimer says
Yes, but the Kurds are Muslims too. ISIS is fundamentalist Muslim. Two versions of Islam fighting one another.
The decision to persecute volunteers who fight the enemies of the UK is counterproductive.

Where’s Boris Johnson? What’s he doing about this? He needs to dismantle the “armed police” and the rest of the apparatus which is oppressing the British people. He needs to break with his no-good “conservative” party – a party which has been treasonous against its own country – and clean this mess up. I see little other route if he doesn’t but civil war in England. And the sooner it comes, probably, the better. Johnson needs to put his Greek poetry away and employ some Greek warfare against the traitors within his own country. His declaiming and prancing about is yesterday’s news. He needs to man up now.

Good luck with that set of wishes for the new year. Just like the US, no matter who we vote in, we seem to get more of the same. SOSDD. The well entrenched swamp dwellers, put in place and allowed to float to the tops of their departments and ministries over the decades by leftists and so called progressives really run the show.
But if we raise questions about questionable voting results, convenient deaths, retirements, suicides, and questionable prosecutions, we are told to put away the tinfoil hats. I no longer have any illusions about this ending well. England’s Glorious Revolution and the US “Civil War” were rarities in that we still ended up with stable governments and for a while at least, something resembling competent leadership. Most end up like Spain in 1938, Russia in 1917, or Germany in 1933.

This article is not wrong. But notice that it *does not* recommend penalizing anyone who has fought the Islamic State. These two articles do not contradict each other.

If we banish Islam from the West, as we should, then we will never have to choose between any of the umpteen versions of it. When it comes to supporting Islam elsewhere we need to judiciously support a losing side lest any side become a winner.

The left is evil. Doesn’t matter if it is in the UK or in the US, the left loves evil and hates freedom and capitalism. In a sane world nobody would vote for them.

The Left is conceited, believing themselves infallible. This is stupid, because anyone can be mistaken … even the conceited Leftards.
The Leftarded yellow journalists have been consistently wrong about more than half of the things they report.

The irony is that in Muslim countries, the Left is treated w/ the same ruthlessness that they treat their enemies in free countries

And the Conservative Party itself is not all that conservative these days–it is just better than the near Communism of Jeremy Corbyn and “Red Ken” Livingston.

There is only one solution to this mess. That is for a Christian Revival to take place in the UK with as many converts as possible. It wont happen until the remaining Christians implore our YHWH God for his forgiveness and blessing and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Carolyne says
It won’t happen until the Brits, no matter their belief so long as it isn’t Islam, get some backbone and take their country back. If there were a God, and if she/he cared, the world would not be in this fix. This kind of thinking is no longer relevant.
gravenimage says
Carolyne, in Christianity man has free will, to act for good or evil.
That doesn’t mean you have to believe in it, of course–but evil existing in the world does not prove that God does not exist.
Happy New Year to you!
R Russell says
I can understand your scepticism but unfortunately because you have no knowledge of the loving friendship Christians have with the Bible Jesus, you conclude it doesn’t exist.
There is something else you don’t appear to understand. That is the unseen, but very real spiritual entities influencing people. Our Saviour has told us our battle is not with people but with the evil unseen entities Influencing/empowering them. That is where prayer comes in. We ask for power from God to overcome these entities.
YHWH God does care. But He has given us free will and I have yet to meet anyone who like you wants Him to intervene but lose their own free will in the process. People want to retain their free will, some use it for good, others don’t.
The backbone comes when necessary. The strength comes from YHWH God.
I can think of examples and will give the links of what happened during WW2. But before I do, I wonder if you know that King George VI regularly called the then Christian UK nation to prayer? The 2 links are to do with it.

If we do not return to God, then he will leave us to live the life we have chosen without Him leading to the possibility of the UK becoming part of the Ummah. That’s our free will in action. We have a loving Saviour who can take this battle on in conjunction with us.
Some of us believe it would be foolish to try to go overcome the Islamic threat without our Saviour to empower and direct us.
Friendship with Jesus is to be recommended. Perhaps one day you will find that out for yourself.

I understand perfectly how some people think that given there is so much evil in the world that this somehow indicates that a loving God couldn’t possibly exist:it is a question of Theodicy.
They forget that a time of Justice is pre-ordained by God to deal with the Evil in the world and all you need to know is in the Bible given via the Holy Spirit{note that there is no concept of the Holy Spirit in islam as “allah” tells muslims NOT to believe in it k4:171:the denial of the Trinity is not just the denial of Jesus but ALSO God’s spirit of wisdom}:Matthew chpt 24,matthew chpt 25,2 thess 2 provide answers…

Ignoring rape gangs while swatting this Dad. The UK police have their priorities, although in my view from afar, I am a bit concerned as to what those priorities are.
Going after rape gangs would probably be, well, dangerous. It is far easier and safer to just kick Dads door in instead.

I think that one of the reasons, and it might be the main reason, is the British government is afraid of Muslims rioting in the streets if they are offended. And it takes so little to offend them. Wake up Brits. Stop voting in parties who are cowards and elect people who care about the country of Magna Carta, Winston Churchill and Shakespeare. Your civilization is on the brink of disaster.
tgusa says
” Muslims rioting in the streets if they are offended.”
I guess the old saying, what goes around comes around, applies. If the British government continues on that course of action at some point the UK police are not going to be sleeping very comfortably whether it be day time or night.
Actions have consequences, yes they do.
tgusa says
As a result of islamization and the pandering to the islamic mob I would wager that many non-halal UK police are not sleeping too well these days. Probably sleep with three guns, two machetes, one narwhal tusk and a chainsaw under their pillow.
Selina Robbins says
The Problem for the government is the inability to control what the “acting” policy of the police in the UK who are now in substantial numbers devout mosque attending Muslims who police in reality according to their Islamic principles, ie : They don’t act in cases of Muslim rape of young children which is proven in recent history if you care to google this. There is a firm closed eye on behalf of our decision makers, themselves increasingly Muslims! and even helped top their positions with the need for academic achievements waived. Same process is silently occurring in council offices with lines of favoured Muslims lining the rooms and diverting resources. It is one thing to have a written code of practice for a police force and another thing to have such code actually adhered to in spirit and in letter by acting police officers where their interests are to principally serve their favoured deity!

Since Britain has become unsafe for righteous warriors against Islamism US should give political asylum to that courageous person.
Britpop says
This has nothing to do with ‘the fear of being called islamophobic’, it should be obvious to anyone that Western European governments do not care what people think.
The real reason lies in something that came up in Holland a year or so ago, where the government had actually supplied Al Qaeda groups in Syria with money and materials. Needless to say the ‘materials’ ended up in ISIS hands (f.i. Toyota pickup trucks that were customised to mount machine guns). It popped out of the main news as quickly as it popped in and there were no questions asked by the Dutch msm.
It is for this reason the Dutch are vigorously trying to sway public opinion to bring back ISIS terrorists and their following, even present them on TV as victims and so on.
It is likely that the desire to oust president Assad gave the Western Europeans the idea to fund and support ISIS, also because they kind of like the idea of an ideology that will use ruthless tactics to suppress unbelievers. So when everything went pear-shaped because of ‘bad orange man’, they had to return their progeny asap, as the whole story on the involvement of certain EU nations in the shapening of ISIS might come to the fore.
It is just my personal theory, backed up by the knowledge that the Dutch government supports Hamas and votes alongside any anti-Israel resolution in the UN. The drive is anti-semitism and they use islam as a tool.
gravenimage says
There is–disgustingly–a lot of “sympathy for the devil” when it comes to Leftist dhimmis and Islam. That being said, though, ISIS is completely Islamic. It was *not* invented by the West.
