The daily barrage of propaganda is relentless. When has Women’s Day ever encouraged non-Christians to fast for Lent? Non-Jews to fast for Yom Kippur? Right.
“Here’s What You Should Know About Ramadan and How it is Celebrated,” by Jamie Ballard, Woman’s Day, January 29, 2021:
Each year, Muslims around the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. Many people know that fasting is a common practice during Ramadan, but there are a number of other traditions associated with the holiday that are less well known.
Hina Khan-Mukhtar, a teacher and writer who is on the Board of Directors for the Muslim Community Center East Bay in northern California, says that Ramadan is a joyous time.
“The Islamic centers and mosques are very full of life and full of light during that time,” Khan-Mukhtar tells Woman’s Day. “It’s as if you can imagine Christmas being celebrated every night for a month. The community comes together, people bring food to share, even children love going to the mosque at night. It’s a time of community and gathering.”
Here’s what you should know about Ramadan, from its history to how it’s celebrated today.
What does Ramadan celebrate?
Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, worship, and prayer. It celebrates the creation of the Quran, which is the holy book for people who practice the Islamic faith. Muslims believe that the prophet Muhammad received revelations directly from God, which were documented and collected in what eventually became the holy book. A passage in the Quran explains, “The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind, and as clear signs that show the right way and distinguish between right and wrong.”…
Although it’s not expected that non-Muslims fast during Ramadan, Kahn-Mukhtar also says that she’s had experiences where someone decided to fast with her in solidarity. “It’s really heartwarming to see someone is wanting to experience what you’re experiencing.”
Lastly, if you’re at an event like a work party and you know you have Muslim coworkers who are fasting, it would be a thoughtful gesture to prepare a plate for them and cover it so that they can take it home and eat it when they break their fast that evening….

Keith O says
Templer, You do understand that the origins of both Christmas and Easter were Pagan?
Most people don’t so it’s no biggy. We detest mudslimes as much as anyone else.
Mount Zion says
Keith , you are right the origin of this celebrations are pagan . Then let’s put it this way . Do they celebrate the birth of Christ ? No . Do they celebrate his resurrection ? No . So when they try relentlessly to make nonmuslims conform to muslim celebrations under the disguise of support and how wonderful and beautiful this hateful religion is , then it is a biggy, especially in the light of all the persecution of christian , jews and nonmuslims in general which is ongoing to this day in muslim countries and to a lesser extend in christian countries ,
owensgate says
Most Christians don’t know Jesus was in the tomb 72 hours, three full days, and not “Friday afternoon that’s one day, all day Saturday that’s the second day, and Sunday morning, that’s the third day. Most likely He died Wednesday afternoon, went into the tomb at sundown, and rose Saturday at sundown. A Jewish day began at sundown.

I has been my understanding that Ramadan is a fasting to enable people to experience the suffering of the hungry, not to celebrate the Quran. Otherwise what is the point of the fast?It is also supposed to be a time for charity to the poor.
In any case as I have pointed out many times; the Moose Limbs only fast from dawn to sunset and then gorge themselves, They often put on weight during Ramadan. Thus it is untrue and hypocritical to claim they experience hunger, as the hungry are hungry constantly and never experience the fulness that the fasters experience in the evening, or predawn breakfasts. Plus the going without water is extremely unhealthy especially in hot climates, which is where many Moose Limbs abide. Poor people do not have to go without water in any case as it is mostly freely available. Fountains and wells provided water in earlier times and plentiful taps in the civilised/modern world. A more realistic form of fast would be to fast for say one week, which the healthy body can do easily without harm.

I’ve never heard that Muslims fasting is supposed to engender sympathy for the hungry–more just that nothing is supposed to interfere with their worship of the savage “Allah”.
gravenimage says
There are lots of good people who don’t observe Christmas or Easter–including some fundamentalist Christians. This is not the real problem with Islam.

Yogi says
Quran us a evil , nothing but reap, murdering and misery, Nothing else ..
Westman says
Is there any “holy” book, other than the Quran, which talks about itself in the present tense? That should raise some suspicion that the receiver and the revealer are one and the same.
The Quran walks and talks like a warlord gathering his raiding band. Hint: It’s not a duck.

Crusades Were Right says
Isn’t “Ramadan” a particularly dangerous time for non-Muslims, in that jihad attacks are regarded by Islam as more pleasing to Allah if they are committed during this period?
born saturday says
crusades
i dont know exactly when the koran orders them to commit attacks but from experience i know that they traditionally almost are quiet and cause no tensions during ramadan and the birthday of alah and then right after those holidays they start their attacks and violence… so is their practice… you will observe that if you read media that reports their attacks…. in practice they manage to peacefully pass their own holidays, but take advantage of any chance they have to ruin others holidays…..
born saturday says
at least the attacks on the infidels because if i understand the article is saying ramadan is when they abuse the muslim women maybe… some not published crime maybe crimes and terrorism inbetween them??? i am not so sure. but this is the idea i have that its after….

At one time Woman’s day was about cooking, shopping and prettying up the house. I see that it has fallen, just as most major magazines, into slavish emulation of leftist values.
andra says
In Germany Woman´s Day has been captured by Muslims more than twenty years ago. Ever since then it only talks about Muslim women – and sometime about gendered women, but hardly ever about real women.
Woman´s Day has been stolen by the Left and Islam as the whole emancipation and feminist work. It is about time for the women to fight back and stand up for their true demands and not for some Muslim women who spit on us or some gendered women who disrespect us.
spiro says
It would also be a nice gesture for Moslem to join in Easter and Christmas
Of course Women’s Day doesn’t have the backbone or intelligences to call for that

YES, I would go a step further and say ISLAM should not be recognized nor tolerated in non-moslem countries.
Muslims are in our countries to Islamize us, period.
Infidel says
I always love needling women on women’s day, claiming that the other 364 days are ‘Men’s days’ ?
Wellington says
Good one, Infidel. Of course, non-woke, sensible women will grasp the humor of your remark, but by contrast woke women will see you as nothing less than yet another execrable misogynist.
Just as there is no fun in Islam, there is no fun in wokeness.
somehistory says
A woman might ask you, “Do men really need so many days?” Who gets the Leap day? Ah, the children can fight, er, argue over it.
Infidel says
I think in this age, we can ‘donate’ the leap day to LGBTQ… whatever the rest of that abbreviation is. Kids would qualify as either men or women, depending on their genetical gender (just the he & she, no ‘they’ or ‘ze’)
somehistory says
Yes, only two genders. And those two can have a discussion over who gets that extra day. “the children”…meaning, boys and girls.
Wellington says
A la Orwell, all religions are created equal but one religion is created more equal than others. Insuring this Orwellian distinction prevails in the religious sphere requires a bevy of useful idiots and, no doubt, there are tons of useful idiots out there from both genders (oh, is this sexist and retrograde because I am of the conviction that there are only two genders?), all races and all ethnicities.
Keith O says
I learned something new from this article.
It was always my impression that Ramadan was dedicated to blowing shit up, killing infidels, screaming about sharia and generally being bigger arseholes than usual.
somehistory says
Okay. I didn’t know that magazine was still being published.
Since males in islam are so much more important than dirt, animals, and other assorted things, why is this a feature in “Women’s Day”?
And, since moslims don’t celebrate Christmas…abhor it and demand that others not celebrate on threat of death by knife, big truck or bombs…how does this idiot moslim female “know” that it’s like Christmas for a whole month?
Many people do a lot of Christmas in the morning…gotta’ see what santa brought; have Christmas breakfast, family from out of town arrive if they didn’t get there the night before…but there is no “fasting” on Christmas for most people. By Christmas night, the day is about done…presents opened and wrapping paper being gathered, dishwasher loaded and tired kids to bed.
This article is trying to make a feast for satan the devil seem inviting and interesting and fun and wholesome. There is nothing in it that would recommend it to a sane person.
And if this magazine published something about the Bible, you can bet the word “holy” would not precede it. The book of islam is un-holy filth.

Of course, according to Coca Cola, Ramadan is about a poor lonely lovely happy hijab-covered Muslima suffering on a long lonely Ramadan walk because mean infidels shoved her about…until sunset when she can share her little dusty date (piece of fruit) with a rare nice infidel who gives her a Coke. I don’t know why we’re worried about Americastan. It’s all looking copacetic, unless you’re actually a thinking, sane, civilized human being.

I’ve been celebrating Ramadamadingdong for years now. Our nightly fast breaking takes place at Allahu’s Snackbar, where they have THE BEST pulled pork that you can imagine. Melts in your mouth. Inshallah they will offer 2-1 deals during the entire Ramadamadingdong season. Their pork is mohammedelicious……fit for a prophet! It’s to die for!
Del says
Prepare a plate for them?? What, like some infidel servant? Take bacon and egg sandwiches to work just to help the Mozzies know their place.
somehistory says
Yes, like a servant.
Prepare it and don’t cover it, and offer it to them right then and there. Say, “You look hungry. Eat up.”
Find yourself unemployed for “religious discrimination” and sued by cair. Because we all know just how much “fun” is connected to islam.

Woman’s Day encourages non-Muslims to observe Ramadan
……………..
Just appalling. Note that Woman’s Day doesn’t say why we should celebrate a book that calls for the piracy, enslavement, and slaughter of Infidels, and sacralizes such horrors as wife beating. *Ugh*. Comparing these horrors to Christmas is just grotesque.
Dave says
We’re going to celebrate ramadamadingdong by eating pork, playning with the dog, drinking beer, wiping our butts with pages from the koran, and pissing on cartoons of the propher Morehamhead (Piss Be Upon Him).
