Video: Tony Costa and Robert Spencer on the existence or non-existence of Muhammad
…………….
Good stuff–and I had previously been unacquainted with Tony Costa.
I am impressed again with the depth of Robert Spencer’s scholarship–as well as his great sense of humor.

Incredible, unbelievable, yet the evidence mounts that its true.
The facts wont get in the way, they will keep believing. Its all they’ve got.
Their world is built around this myth. No letting go.

Muslims drop out of Islam when they perceive errors in the Koran which cannot be explained away. At that point they see the Koran is a fraudulent, fabricated book.
Infidelsays
I was pretty impressed by Tony Costa, and how he covered some of the questions from his viewers, particularly the one about Isa vs Yeshau
As usual (& disgracefully) no publisher or newspaper reviews a best-selling, cogently written, and thought-provoking book on Islam when undoubtedly they would describe a work actually attacking Christianity as “edgy” and “brave.”
I don’t agree with RS’s conclusions and have written a rebuttal (to the first edition) titled “Did Muhammad Exist? A Counterblast to the Revisionists” which is privately published and available on Amazon in KIndle format.

Francis,
Are you the person, who wrote a lengthy and critical Amazon review of the first edition, Robert Spencer is referring to in this video ? If so, RS said he answered all your objections in his new edition.
Will you respond to his answers ?

A real lesson on the origin of Islam,
The Muslims describe themselves as believers in the one one god in contrast to the pagans. That is why I think it is important to remind them of the pagan background of Islam i.e. Baal s’cult.
At 1:02:40 they discuss moderate Muslims. I have known dozens of Muslims throughout my life, and many of them have indeed been moderates. Some simply follow the peaceful Meccan verses of the Quran, and ignore the hateful and violent Medinan verses. But others – as Robert rightfully points out – have simply not read the Quran. The first Quran one of my Muslim associates (aged 50) had read was my old Rodwell English translation. He rarely went to Friday sermons back home in his native country, and eventually became an apostate. I wish there were a few more like him.
But while there might be some moderate Muslims, there is no such thing as moderate Islam.
A friend of mine was once asked “Are you a Muslim?” He replied, “When it suits me.”

Mr. Spencer makes an interesting reference to why Muslims like the color “green” at around the 1:13:00 mark in the video interview with Tony Costa and how that color represents that “Islam is always growing”…”perpetual spring time, it’s always expanding.” Here are some related bits of info and also why the Saudi Arabian flag is green with the Sahada, statement of faith, inscription of no god but Allah and Muhammad being the messenger of Allah:
An Hadith states:
“The most beloved of colors to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was green.”
[Tabarani, Mu’jam al-Awsat; al-Bazzar, Musnad] – Malik
Also, “Islam: A Green Tradition” (how color plays an important role in religion)
“When you visit mosques and other sacred Islamic places, chances are you’ll see a lot of green. The hue has a special place in Islam, and is often used to represent Islam to other world religions.
Why is green so important? Some say green was Muhammad’s favorite color and that he wore a green cloak and turban. Others believe the color symbolizes vegetation and life. In the Qur’an, it is written that the inhabitants of paradise will wear green garments of fine silk.
The color green is so strongly associated with Islam that it was absent in many medieval European coats of arms. During the Crusades, green was the color used by Islamic soldiers, so Christian soldiers generally avoided it.” https://www.sherwin-williams.com/architects-specifiers-designers/inspiration/styles-and-techniques/SW-ART-STIR-COLOR-RELIGION

Excellent, Robert.
Unless I have missed it, will anybody with Fox News ever give you the time of day anymore? Mark Levin likes to talk brave and makes calls for action against the lunatic left/Marxist maniacs, but he refuses to look more seriously at the threat posed by Islam, and he still entertains/promotes Zuhdi Jasser as a ‘legitimate voice for moderate Islam.” Levin also buys into the false “radical/moderate” dichotomy (yet another form of taqiyya) that apologists for the “peaceful Islam” sham continue to maintain even though you and others have exposed this position as an irrational propaganda/belief.
Ask Mark to interview you for the full time on his Life, Liberty, and Levin Show re: the revised version of “Did Muhammad Exist?” If he refuses (or perhaps already has), challenge him in public along with all of Fox News.

Fox still has an on-line reference to Robert Spencer, but I don’t know when he appeared there last.
