Where did Mustafa Dirani get the idea that jihad involved warfare against unbelievers? Where is this taught? Australian authorities appear to be completely uninterested in such questions.
“Accused conspirator in police shooting supported killing ‘non-believers’: court,” by Duncan Murray, News.com.au, September 27, 2022:
A man accused of conspiring with others in the lead-up to the shooting of police accountant Curtis Cheng faced trial before the NSW Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Mustafa Dirani is alleged to have been one of those who assisted 15-year-old schoolboy Farhad Mohammad in obtaining the gun he used to shoot Mr Cheng dead outside Parramatta police station on October 2, 2015.
During opening remarks of the trial, Crown prosecutor David Staehli SC told the jury that Mr Dirani was a supporter of “violent jihad” and “the killing of non-believers”.
The court was told Mr Dirani attended a series of meetings during which alleged co-conspirator Raban Alou received a Smith and Wesson revolver from another alleged co-conspirator Talal Alameddine on the day of the shooting.
Police allege Mr Alou gave the gun to shooter Farhad Mohammad at the Parramatta Mosque just hours later.
15-year-old Farhad Mohammad shot Mr Cheng outside Parramatta police station before he was gunned down by officers….
The court was told Mr Alou was then seen attending the Parramatta Mosque, where he met with Farhad Mohammad in the women’s prayer room.
“The reason we will suggest for that is on that level of the mosque a lot of the rooms are covered by CCTV cameras, but one of the places that isn’t is the women’s prayer room,” Staehli said.
Prosecutors allege it was during that meeting that Farhad Mohammad was given the gun by Mr Alou.
From there, Farhad Mohammad changed from his street clothes into traditional robes, often associated with more fundamentalist branches of Islam, and left the mosque.
“We know he had the gun because he used it about a quarter of an hour later to shoot Mr Cheng,” Mr Staehli said.
After shooting Mr Cheng in the back of the head, Farhad Mohammad was himself gunned down during a brief shootout with police.
Following Mr Cheng’s shooting, police conducted a raid of Mr Dirani’s home where they allegedly uncovered materials showing he was a supporter of “Islamic extremism in the form of violent jihad”, Mr Staehli told the court.
Mr Staehli noted that in the Islamic faith, jihad can refer to things other than violence, such as a personal inner struggle.
“The jihad we’re concerned about in this case is violent jihad aimed at non-believers and justifying the killing of nonbelievers,” he said.
“On our case, Mr Dirani was a supporter of this form of violent jihad or at least of the people who carried it out.”…

Just proving once again that Islam, all of Islam, has no place in a free and civilized society.
Whether it be in Australia, Britain, America, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, etc., Islam remains the turd in the punch bowl of world religions—and it has no more place in the West than does Nazism or Marxism. Islam is a burden to the best that mankind has proffered through the ages. Never more than now.
And let me put it another way, to wit, the more that Islam exists within the greatest civilization of all time, i.e., Western Civilization, the more that said civilization is in great jeopardy. Add to this the enormous enemy presently within, i.e., modern Western Leftism (which failed philosophy has foolishly made a temporary alliance with Mo’s wretched creed), and between Mohammedanism and Leftism you have a perfect storm respecting what could do, almost certainly would do, to a civilization which has sought liberty accompanied by responsibility such as mankind has never experienced or encountered.
No liberty from Islam or Western Leftism. One knows this or should know it. It’s a bottom line. No further depth could be probed here.
So sick of Islam, ditto for Western Leftism. Both are inimical to, a la Abraham Lincoln, “the better angels of our nature.”
tim gallagher says
I agree, Wellington, with what you say. That saying from Lincoln is spot on, “the better angels of our nature” have created the pleasant way of life that western civilisation has managed to achieve. Liberty for the individual, rule of law, freedom of expression, etc. Anything human is bound to be flawed, but the way of life in liberal democratic western nations is about as good as it can get. As you say, islam and their allies, the left wing fascists, are a big danger these days. For Australia, China is our biggest worry and I think most Australians would say that that giant bully is looming as our biggest problem. Islam is nothing but trouble everywhere. What other religion calls for the killing of “non-believers”? On the murder of Curtis Cheng, I wonder why these jihadi shitheads gave the gun to a 15 year old boy (not that he is any loss to the world) instead of going out and carrying out the murder themselves. It seems to happen a lot. Anyway, if we didn’t let Muslims into Australia, Curtis Cheng would be alive.

Did this affect anyone you know, Tim? I hope not.
“A food delivery drone operated by Alphabet subsidiary Wing landed on overhead power lines in Brisbane, Australia, and caught fire. As a result, the network was shut down by energy firm Energex to respond to the incident, leaving thousands without power.”
tim gallagher says
No, somehistory, in fact I hadn’t even heard about that happening. I usually do keep up with the news but sometimes I tend to ignore it. I live near Sydney which is in New South Wales so maybe what happened with people in Brisbane, which is the main city in Queensland, a long way away, didn’t even make our news here in New South Wales. Blackouts happen from time to time, for the unlucky people affected. I guess like the victims of that horrendous hurricane in the USA right now. A few nights ago, Sydney got hit by a ferocious thunderstorm and a few areas had a blackout. Luckily not where I live though. Just depends if your area gets hammered. I was telling you a while ago that I was going to record 8 of the songs I wrote. It turned out well and the friend of mine, who is a musician, does sound interested in playing a couple of the songs. He did sound quite impressed. No big deal, he is no big name, but it would be great to have his band or his smaller group play my songs. From little acorns….
somehistory says
I’m glad for that, Tim. I know just about nothing regarding the different cities, places, etc. of your country. I’ve seen lots of photos, but nothing seems to stick in my brain regarding the geography. NSW sounds like a completely different country…like New York is much removed from the original York. I guess it is far removed from the nation of Wales near England. I’m easily confused. Just glad you and family were not affected.
The damage in Florida is overwhelming. and now, South Carolina, too.
I’m glad, too, that your friend is interested in your songs. And yes, from small acorns.
tim gallagher says
somehistory, there’s only a few areas of the USA that I know much about, so I can understand how Australia’s geography would not be clear to you. As you note, this country bears no resemblance to the UK. As a British colony, they gave the place names related to the old country. New South Wales is certainly nothing like Wales, the main difference being that here the sunshine is so bright and also we don’t get the cold weather that Wales gets. As for Sydney, I would say that the harbour is the most beautiful in the world and the beaches are great. I live far away from those features, but occasionally go there. I was pleased about my friend’s reaction to the songs. I’ll see what happens. I hope you and your family are going well.
somehistory says
thanks, Tim. That makes me feel a little better about being uninformed regarding your country. I have seen enough photos that make me wish I could visit. I have two hats from there…one is a Drover hat and the other is black and made of kangaroo. I love the hats, but try not to think of what the black one is made. I just think “leather” and don’t allow my mind to go further. It is very warm headgear.
My family is doing well under the circumstances of the times in which we are living. Some are having it so much worse. thank you for your well-wishes. I know you’ll let us here how your songs go and I look forward to learning.
tim gallagher says
Glad to hear that you and your family are going OK, somehistory. Wearing hats is a very good idea in Australia, (or at least wearing sun block cream) because this country is the skin cancer capital of the world, as we are often told. On the use of kangaroos to make the hat, I would not be too worried about that. Kangaroos are often in plague proportions in country areas out here, so they are in no danger of extinction. They need to be culled sometimes. Some other animals are in danger, such as Koalas, but not kangaroos. Now I’m going to visit one of my sisters, who lives very close to Sydney Harbour. It’s a fairly long trip and Sydney’s traffic can be a pain.. She lives in a very pleasant area. It’ll be good to catch up with her and a few other family members.

I’d love to visit Australia some time, Tim. We have relatives in Australia and New Zealand. Beautiful places sadly marred by Jihad.
tim gallagher says
There are many beautiful paces to see in Australia, gravenimage. I can give you quite a long list of places to see. I haven’t been to New Zealand, but the scenery there does look stunning. It’s handy if you have relatives to visit as well. They could show you around a bit.

Poor Curtis Cheng was murdered on October the 2nd, tomorrow which is also my birthday, I will never forget it.
I live in Western Sydney and the cockroaches are shooting people, left, right and centre!
The Parramatta Mosque should have been closed immediately and every other Mosque and Masjid with a week as they are their centre for hatred!
tim gallagher says
NoBurkas, you are right about all those shootings around the suburbs of Sydney. It all seems to be Lebanese Muslim gangsters. What hopeless additions they are to any society and how stupid of Australian authorities to invite them in. I was surprised that it is 7 years since the murder of Curtis Cheng. Just an accountant going to work, could have been almost anyone. I agree about that mosque.
gravenimage says
Happy birthday, NoBurkas. Sorry your happy day is marred by memories of Jihad terror.

The victim should file a class action suit against the politicians for opening up Australia to Islam and its cult members. They have blood on their hands for every victim of this cult and its mindset.
There was never this 5th column present until Left-wing “useful idiots” created it. Citizens should literally sue for compensation from the government for letting this dangerous cult in and not even deporting this scumbag together with his den of cutthroats.

Australia: Muslim who aided in murder of police accountant supported ‘violent jihad’ and ‘killing of nonbelievers’
………………………………..
Are police still “looking for a motive”?
tim gallagher says
gravenimage, I think that they were onto the motive in this appalling murder very quickly. Of course, as usual, they would still be saying that islam is peaceful, blah, blah, and murders like this are only ever done by a tiny fringe element of Muslims. They happen way too often and always by Muslims. I recall this murder and this report here surprised me because it is 7 years ago. I though maybe 4 or 5 years ago. It seems like justice delayed that this man is only now facing court. But maybe it took police quite a while to make all the connections. I haven’t been to the big shopping centre and business district in the suburb of Parramatta, where this murder took place for years now, but, like so many people out here, I had certainly walked past the place where it took place quite a few times in the past, so it really hits home when you are quite familiar with the place.
gravenimage says
Tim, I’m sorry–I was being a bit waggish here. You often hear in even the most obvious cases of Jihad terror that police are still looking for a motive.
Not meaning to make light of either this terrible case or the work of the police here.
tim gallagher says
That’s true, gravenimage. It happens over and over again. Whether in the UK, the USA, Australia or so many other western countries, the police just can’t seem to find a motive for all these terrorist murders, even though they are all done by Muslims. Duh. How they can’t see that it has plenty to do with islam’s nature and content is beyond belief. know you would never make light of such a case. The murderer in this case came straight from a mosque that I gather was only a few hundred metres away from the site of the murder.

Prosecutor David Staehli noted that in the Islamic faith, jihad can refer to things such as a “personal inner struggle”. However it can also refer to the use of “violence, and killing of unbelievers”; and in our case, Mr Dirani was a supporter of violent jihad – or at least of the people who carried it out.
Good for Mr Staehli! He seems to be a bit more astute than many of the other people in the Justice system. We need more people like him who don’t simply dismiss these jihadist attacks as “mental illness” or feeling “marginalized” by Western society.
Dirani was a coward who conned a 15 year-old schoolboy to do his dirty work for him. But because he assisted in the act by supplying the gun, he knows that Allah will probably give him a free pass to Paradise when he dies. (Quran 9:111).
But why on Earth do these cases take so long to come to court? This misfit has no doubt been pointing his arse to sky five times a day at his local jihad factory and indoctrinating other ypung Muslim hotheads for the last 7 years – and during that time he probably fathered a few more wannabe jihadi brats as well.
NoBurkas says
Prosecutor David Staehli hasn’t watched the Sydney Riots of 2012 where there were at least 2 ISIS flags flying, why weren’t all of the adherents to the MURDEROUS IDEOLOGY of ISLAM rounded up and dealt with.
Our Governments have a love affair with Islam!
Keep your eyes open to keep your head on.
Seems to me that ISIS was established in Sydney
Mt Druitt is alive with the adherents of the MURDEROUS IDEOLOGY of ISLAM!
tim gallagher says
The cowardice of this maggot, Dirani, struck me too, Aussie Infidel. The piece of crap sends the 15 year old out to do the shooting, not that the death of the teenager was any loss to the world. I am also puzzled that Dirani is only facing court 7 years later. It is pathetic.

A religion or a God that tells you to kill people is not a religion or God that speaks of peace and compassion… islam is a Fascist Religious CULT.
I often notice that these Jihadi morons often shoot, or attack, a person from behind, proving without a doubt the cowards they ALL are.
The Western World is engaging in its own demise and muslims around the World are laughing in our faces as they are taught revenge is where its at and they see little from us in that department and so they see us as weak.
