Looking back at last week’s #AHIP2024 conference, there were many exciting themes that came up! Here are some of the AbleTo team's highlights: 👥 Healthcare access is a growing priority: While this theme has been top-of-mind for years, the increasing focus around social determinants of health among CMS, health plans, and other stakeholders has emphasized the need for solutions. 💻 Virtual mental healthcare is important in addressing access issues: AbleTo was honored to be mentioned by clients as a solution to their access challenges. From convenient appointment times to customizable program lengths, we aim to provide care unique to each person’s needs. We were also happy to hear of innovations like primary care providers providing onsite technology access for virtual mental health support! 🏥 Integrations between behavioral health and clinical services like oncology and pain management are on the rise: This trend is vital for whole-person care. We’re leading with targeted mental healthcare for individuals with life-changing physical health diagnoses, empowering them with professional guidance and resilience-building skills and tools. AHIP 2024 was full of exciting conversations and these were just a few of the themes we heard. Did you attend? Let us know what themes you came across! #healthcareaccess #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness

At AbleTo, we aim to make high-quality behavioral care easier to access. We do this by ensuring our products and programs–ranging from on-demand self care to clinical therapy–are based on evidence and industry best practices. Earlier this month, Sarah Gaffey, LCSW co-presented in a webinar with leadership from URAC, CTeL, and Gateway Rehab about the value of research and data-driven care in telehealth. As Sarah explains, this was a great opportunity to highlight the value of AbleTo’s evidence-based approach that helps us to deliver the right level of support to our participants across the country: “It was incredibly worthwhile to have a chance to highlight the expertise and high standards inherent to our organization: We have experts dedicated to ensuring that we have data insights that enable us to effectively resource our providers, and our talented clinical teams also use data to monitor quality and outcomes and take action if gaps are identified. Importantly, our accreditation with URAC ties this all together and holds us accountable to this rigor. ” This webinar allowed listeners to learn not only about approaches to managing care quality in the present, but also the importance of research, policy, and engagement trends that help behavioral health organizations to scale and continuously improve our approaches for the future. It’s an exciting time to be part of the telehealth industry! Watch the full webinar at the link and join the conversation below–we’d love to hear your thoughts on advancing telehealth and improving access to care! https://lnkd.in/ehWHpi8f

Happy Social Work Month! Today, we celebrate all that you — our provider community — do to empower our participants. These stories reflect your daily commitment to helping others make transformative changes. Since 2013, our providers have delivered 3.7 million sessions to help participants build lifelong skills to cope with challenges and practice self care. Your 1-on-1 interactions have helped them reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. There’s so much more we could share about the impact that you make. But the most important thing we want to say — to providers everywhere — is: Thank you. ✨Thank you for showing up every day. ☀ Thank you for creating safe spaces for others to improve their mental health.  🌍Thank you for your tireless efforts that make a difference in our world, one person at a time. #SocialWorkMonth2024 #HappySocialWorkMonth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthcare #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellness #mentalhealthcommunity #socialworkmonth

The need for mental health services remains high, with over one in five US adults living with mental illness according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Health plans are rightfully responding by offering more care options for their members–in fact, the vast majority of health plans (89%) are actively recruiting mental health care providers for their networks according to a 2022 survey by AHIP. But with so many options to choose from, how can health plans determine which providers best suit their members’ diverse needs? Consider looking at care providers that are recognized by trusted quality accrediting organizations like URAC, which maintains a Gold Star standard for health care organizations that emphasizes industry best practices, quality improvement, and protection and empowerment of consumers. Last year, Sarah Gaffey, LCSW, VP of Clinical Services, and Heidi Mochari Greenberger, PhD,MPH, VP of Clinical Research, had the opportunity to speak with the team at URAC about our work at AbleTo, our care processes, and how our accreditation from URAC–the first ever for a telemental health provider–has bolstered our mission of helping people get better and stay better. Watch the video below to learn more about how quality accreditation informs our approach to care at AbleTo and the healthcare industry at large. This #MensHealthAwarenessMonth, we take a moment to acknowledge the profound impact of self-care on our strength and personal growth. Dr. Robert Accordino, our Chief Medical Officer, offers insights into the significance of self-care for our overall well-being. "With over a decade of experience as a practicing pediatric and adult psychiatrist, I firmly believe that prioritizing our mental well-being alongside our physical health is essential. Using simple techniques such as deep breathing can have a positive effect on our overall sense of wellness. It's not just a suggestion to my patients; it's a part of my own self-care routine. Here are some additional effective strategies to help you maintain your physical -- and mental wellness." Let's remember that self-care is integral to men's health. https://lnkd.in/eavAAf8z #mentalhealth #selfcare #mentalhealthcare #mentalhealthawareness  #behavioralhealth #behavioralhealthcare #menshealth #mensmentalhealth
