In the late 1990s, Downtown Los Angeles suffered from a shortage of housing, retail destinations, parking, and signage to meet the needs of residents and workers who commuted to the city. After identifying Downtown Los Angeles as a Qualified Community, CIM began investing in the area in 2001. CIM has since committed more than $600 million to the market and now owns multiple assets in Downtown Los Angeles. CIM’s investment has delivered such assets as Flower Street Lofts, a vintage UPS warehouse converted into modern condominiums, which was one of the first adaptive reuse projects of its kind in the area. Centennial Yards Atlanta recently signed a long-term lease with Cosm, a leading immersive technology, media, and entertainment company. The 70,000-square-foot, three-level immersive entertainment venue will deliver live sports and experiential entertainment in Shared Reality. Cosm is the first addition to the new world-class Sports and Entertainment District that broke ground at the project earlier this summer. “At Centennial Yards, we have the opportunity to reshape a major area of Atlanta as a walkable and appealing destination for residents and visitors, and key to that effort is bringing unique and engaging businesses such as Cosm that attract people to the district,” said Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and Principal, CIM Group. CIM's summer internship program offers an engaging, dynamic learning environment with exposure to multiple facets of our teams and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects. Last month, our Phoenix-based interns planned and organized a fundraiser and volunteer event benefitting St. Mary's Food Bank, a local nonprofit organization. The project entailed presenting a pitch for their chosen organization to support, coordinating a marketing campaign to raise funds and recruit volunteers, and hosting the final volunteer event. Our team members who participated in the event helped pack nearly 1,000 boxes of food for seniors in the community. Kudos to our interns and volunteers for making an impact! #cim #cimgroup #cimpact
