FHWA is announcing a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to enhancing the nation’s infrastructure. Today, we announced $26.5 million for 28 grants from the Bridge Investment Program (BIP) aimed at creating a pipeline for future bridge construction projects to improve safety, support economic competitiveness, and to provide resilient highway infrastructure against climate change. The Bridge Investment Program is the single largest dedicated investment in bridges since the construction of the Interstate highway system.
