Bringing down the final curtain on the IoT Slam Live 2024 event held last month for the 3rd consecutive year at the SAS global headquarters, Cary, North Carolina, USA and broadcast online around the world. Sending a HUGE thank you to Bill Roberts Josh Becker Gul Ege Heather Thomson Emily Dilday Christina Eyuboglu Bryan Saunders and all the amazing folks behind the scenes at SAS, for helping to deliver another flawless event, IoT Slam Live 2024 was another wonderful networking experience, filled with deep insights, exclusive content and real-world applications solving real problems. A great venue, with a wonderful host, served up world-class catering and an environment that inspired collaboration. Many new contacts and connections made across the industry, with several new solutions born at the event, coming to market soon... stay tuned.... Great exhibits, and insightful hallway discussions helped to make this the best IoT Slam event to date. The IoT Community - Internet of Things Community® is thrilled to announce Joanna Schneider Cavalier is appointed to the AIoTCoE as a Pillar Lead for Health and Life Sciences. Joanna S. Cavalier, MD, is an internist and Medical Instructor who works as a hospitalist at Duke University Hospital. She also serves as the Associate Medical Director of the Digital Strategy Office for Duke Health, where she focuses on enhancing the patient-facing digital experience. Her areas of focus include virtual care, remote patient monitoring, virtual nursing, the MyChart app, patient-entered questionnaires, and patient-reported outcomes. Her research is focused on the formal evaluation of digital programs to assess their efficacy and outcomes. Dr. Cavalier attended medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed her residency at Duke, where she participated in the combined Internal Medicine and Management and Leadership Pathway for Residents program. Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Cavalier worked in health care consulting at the Advisory Board Company.
