About us

At LaBella Associates, our job is to create – structures, plans, ideas, results. As a nationally recognized Design Professional Corporation, that’s a given, right? And it affects client outcomes in profound ways. It means we’re built to expertly execute projects from start to finish. That we have the talent and resources to take on any challenge. That projects are completed on time, on budget, and beyond expectations. And that we win awards – not just for our talent, but also for our ethics, employee culture, and growth. Headquartered in Rochester, NY, LaBella is home to more than 1,800 multi-disciplinary consultants who plan, design, engineer, and manage public and private projects that enrich our communities. Earlier this week, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that $200 million in funding is now available through the State’s two signature downtown revitalization and economic development programs – the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and the NY Forward program, which focuses on revitalizing smaller and rural downtowns. With our extensive knowledge and experience, LaBella Associates is uniquely positioned to help municipalities engage their communities and craft compelling applications that showcase the potential these programs can unlock. In last year’s funding round, we successfully supported three winning communities through the application process. Applications are currently open, with a submission deadline of October 18, 2024 at 4 p.m. For expert assistance with your application, contact LaBella’s Senior Program Manager, Michael Cocquyt, EMBA. A single call can set your community on the path to developing a unified vision that will guide the revitalization of your community! Earlier this month, LaBella and Niagara University were honored to receive a 2024 Special Achievement in GIS Award from the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) for the GIS-Supported Strategic Planning project in Niagara Falls. This award was one of 197 chosen from more than 100,000 Esri clients worldwide! This revitalization project involved using GIS technology to conduct a thorough evaluation of housing and community conditions in the Mid-City area of Niagara Falls, New York. A comprehensive data collection and web mapping effort gathered critical information on population demographics and household metrics, revealing factors contributing to environmental and socio-economic inequalities. The datasets and mapping tool have been shared with the community and stakeholders to guide decisions on homeownership and future development initiatives, playing a crucial role in helping the city create a vibrant, equitable, and inclusive community. The SAG awards recognize Esri users worldwide for their exceptional work with geographic information systems (GIS) technology. Nominations come from Esri leadership and distributor organizations, with finalists selected by Jack Dangermond, President and Founder of Esri. LaBella Kicks Off the 2024 Season with Rochester City School District Students at Buffalo Bills Training Camp! 🏈 As an Official Corporate Partner of the Buffalo Bills, LaBella hosted students from Edison Career & Technology High School, Northeast College Preparatory High School, and Franklin Upper School for a Community Outreach Day at St. John Fisher University on August 1st. The students had a blast watching practice, diving into a STEM activity, and even getting autographs from their favorite players. This experience was equally rewarding for our dedicated employees, who utilized their expertise to engage with Edison Tech students and provide valuable insights into their careers. Read more about our Community Outreach Day and check out all the amazing photos captured by Kurt Brownell on our website: https://lnkd.in/eShbS4Hu Go Bills! #CommunityIntegration #LINC #BuffaloBills #STEMEducation

President & CEO at National Susan B Anthony Museum & House

We are in the midst of getting City of Rochester approval for our site plan. Oh, and raising the last $7 million to make this building possible. Thanks to our Board, staff, community, generous donors, and creative partners for helping to shape this vision: SWBR , Christa Construction, LLC, LaBella Associates, Solid Light, Inc.

We are very excited to share this rendering of the new interpretive center that we are planning to expand the National Susan B Anthony Museum & House. Susan B. Anthony traveled tens of thousands of miles by train to organize and advocate for voting rights and human rights, so if this building reminds you of a train station, we've succeeded!
