I had the privilege of attending a fantastic training session recently, titled “Creating a Trusted Adviser Mindset,” facilitated by none other than Ken Deeks, MBE. Ken, a seasoned author, advisor, and former PR agency leader, flew in from London to deliver this invaluable workshop, organized by MikeWorldWide for our professional development. Here are a few key takeaways from the session: 🤝🏼Building Relationships: Establishing strong client relationships is crucial for our growth and that of the agency. 💪🏼Becoming the Go-To Person: Strategies to become the indispensable person on our accounts while sharing responsibilities. 📈 Value Demonstration: It’s crucial to effectively showcase our value in client engagements and confidently sell back our results. 🗣️ Communication Styles: Adapting our communication style is key to engaging more effectively with clients and our team. One of the most insightful parts of the training was discovering my personality type – I am a Yellow personality type! 🌟 This means I am sociable, dynamic, demonstrative, enthusiastic, and persuasive. I thrive in environments where I can be dynamic and enthusiastic. This training has helped me to better understand how to leverage these strengths to build stronger client relationships and engage my team more effectively. This week, I attended Marketing Brew’s “Perfecting Your Influencer IQ” event, which featured an impressive lineup of industry experts, including creators, talent managers, strategists, and executives. Here are my takeaways: 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗞𝗲𝘆: Influencers need creative freedom to resonate with their audience. Brands should align with influencers’ authentic voices rather than forcing scripted content. Additionally, tap into influencers when your partnerships fit into what’s happening in their lives—do your research, creators are humans too! 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Building enduring, authentic relationships with influencers is crucial. It’s about engagement and mutual growth, not just one-off posts. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Measuring ROI through engagement, reach, and custom metrics is essential. Understanding your audience and their platform behavior can better inform your strategies.
