    Show of hands - who loves BROAD MATCH? 🦗 🦗 🦗 As a career-long performance marketer, it pains me to say this: Broad Match is making some noise and showing promise for our clients. Hear me out! We've been actively running broad match tests for the last 18-24 months and the tides are shifting (in some cases): - 12+ months ago: -10-20% lower CPC's, 10-20% lower ROAS vs. exact - Last 6 Months: -10-20% lower CPC's, ROAS on par or better vs exact Much of our success has come with brand specifically. We find this to be a safe experimentation area, and an area where broad has generally proven to be more successful. DSA's continue to set the non-brand performance bar for some of our larger clients, but broad match is quickly catching up. When we dig into search terms, we're finding matched queries to be 95%+ relevant. This is a massive improvement from the relevancy of legacy broad match. I expect Broad match to only continue improving with: - longer form queries a la Chat GPT - AI improvements in text parsing/matching - Aggressive product investment by Google If you haven't started testing broad match, I highly recommend setting up a test before Q4. #digitalmarketing #SEM #Google
