Dogs can be wonderful companions for people living with a chronic condition or who are in the hospital, offering emotional and physical support and, in some cases, providing lifesaving care. During International Assistance Dog Week, we’re celebrating some of the therapy dogs who make the rounds at PAM Health hospitals around the country! Pictured are support dogs who have recently visited PAM Health Rehab Hospital of Tulsa, PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh, and PAM Health San Antonio hospitals. #therapydogs #servicedogs #assistancedogs
Today is Purple Heart Day, which honors the estimated 1.8 million Purple Heart recipients who, since it was first established in 1782, were awarded the distinction after being injured or killed in service to our country. PAM Health salutes your bravery and sacrifice. #purpleheart #military #PurpleHeartDay #veterans
As a proponent of advanced rehabilitation technologies, we have seen firsthand how devices like this can make a dramatic improvement in a patient's life. Like so many others, we were thrilled to see the exoskeleton technology in action in this way. In fact, several PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospitals use this technology, as well as others, to help patients go further than they could have dreamed of! https://nuvi.me/w6yw92

Today, Holistic Therapy Day, we celebrate the art of healing that nurtures the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Holistic therapy is about recognizing the interconnectedness of our mental, physical, and spiritual health. It's about treating the root cause of issues, not just the symptoms. Whether through meditation, yoga, acupuncture, herbal remedies, or mindful nutrition, holistic practices aim to bring balance and harmony into our lives. On this special day, take a moment to reflect on your well-being and explore the holistic approaches that can bring more balance, peace, and joy into your life. #SelfCare #therapy #rehabilitation #mentalhealth
At PAM Health, showing that “We Care” is a responsibility that goes well beyond therapy sessions within the walls of our hospitals. As an occupational therapist at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of El Paso, Sergio Tarango knows his patients and their loved ones have entrusted him to ensure they’re comfortable and well-equipped with skills and tools to maximize their quality of life after they leave the hospital. Thank you, Sergio, for your compassionate care and expertise that embody our We Care philosophy! #WeCare #healthcare #occupationaltherapy #rehabilitation #occupationaltherapist
