🔹 SMT Intern Spotlight 🔹 Meet Anne Thyfault, a rising junior at Elon University, interning in our Operations department this summer. This past weekend, she attended the second annual #ChicagoStreetRaceWeekend, where she explored the technology we provide for NASCAR and NBC Sports, everything from our tracking system and the plethora of data that comes with it, to our Team and Broadcast Analytics, Ghost Car visualizations, virtual graphics and more. 🏁 "Since I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, being able to see the city I know so well turn into a NASCAR event was incredible. To me, the street race encapsulates many of my passions—Chicago, sports, community and broadcast!" #internspotlight #summerintern #nascar #SMTChangingTheGame

2 years ago today, our on-ice SPRITES app debuted and went viral, changing the National Hockey League (NHL) fan experience forever. 🏒 During the '21-'22 playoffs, we partnered with Tampa Bay's home arena to project our puck- and player-tracking tech on the ice, so fans could join together for the ultimate watch party experience: Live broadcast on the jumbotron, with every player and puck movement displayed in real-time below. This game-changing setup garnered millions of views across major sports channels, with fans asking for similar experiences at their home arenas. Since then, we've worked with several teams to host these popular playoff watch parties, continuously improving the technology to meet fans' demands. And it's been a resounding success! Check out this feature on the Florida Panthers' local Channel 10 News, covering how the technology has been enhancing the fan experience at their home arena in Sunrise, Fla.: 👉 https://loom.ly/iv9iqi4 #nhl #nhlplayoffs #nhlplayoffwatchparty #fanexperience #puckandplayertracking #spritesapp #SMTChangingTheGame

Our revamped L-Bar isn't just about visuals; it integrates HITS scoring and real-time puck- and player-tracking data to deliver play-by-play updates as the action unfolds on the ice. Additionally, we're utilizing our full suite of PPT tools with OPTICS to identify various personnel including intelligent possessor identifiers.
