Ameresco integrated Stem, Inc.'s AI-driven clean energy software to efficiently operate and maintain four 11.75 MW and four 7.84 MW battery energy storage systems across the eight different substation sites owned by United Power, Inc. in the Adams, Broomfield, and Weld counties of Colorado. These batteries will allow the cooperative to store and dispatch power efficiently during periods of high consumption. And by leveraging this innovative technology, United Power optimizes its energy resources, enhances its grid resilience, and ensures a reliable electricity supply for its members.

The U.S. energy storage market set a first-quarter record for capacity installed in 2024, with 1,265MW deployed across all segments, according to the newly released U.S. Energy Storage Monitor report from Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables and the American Clean Power Association (ACP). This marks the highest storage capacity ever installed in a first quarter in the U.S., representing an 84% increase from Q1 2023. The report also states that the grid-scale segment installed 993MW, producing the highest Q1 on record for that segment. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gXCNspMn

Today, Stem, Inc. and Arizona Generation and Transmission Cooperatives , a not-for-profit, member-owned electric generation and transmission (G&T) cooperative, in partnership with Prometheus Power, a national renewable energy developer, announced the successful deployment of a co-located #storage and #solar project to help deliver clean, reliable power to its distribution #electriccoops and #publicpower members. The project for Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Co-op (SSVEC), an AEPCO member co-op, includes a 40MWh energy storage system and an existing 20MW PV system that will integrate Athena®, Stem’s award-winning AI-driven clean energy software, to continuously operate and monitor the storage system for maximized performance on a single, unified platform. Pictured at the recent ribbon cutting ceremony is Stem's Kimberly Perelli.
