Yesterday, Tapestry had the pleasure of hosting students from Acland Burghley School for the 2nd year in a row, alongside SuitUp Incorporated for a fun business competition, designed to provide students with industry experience and inspire the next generation of CEO’s. The students tackled the challenge of creating a new product for Coach, Kate Spade or Stuart Weitzman for a target market of their choosing and this year we stepped up the challenge by asking them to incorporate sustainable materials. The challenge is designed to open doors to new passions and hone critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking skills. Our amazing volunteer coaches helped show these bright young minds that the corporate world can also be part of their futures. We were so impressed by the student’s creativity and strategic thinking, and are excited to see what the future holds for them, they will undoubtedly go on to do great things! SuitUp Incorporated is an education non-profit that increases career awareness and preparedness for students in underserved communities through innovative business competitions. Through SuitUp, students experience solving a realistic corporate challenge, and can interact with corporate volunteers who coach them on the marketing, financing, and strategy. Since inception, SuitUp has helped over 12,000 students and engaged 8,500+ corporate volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who made yesterday’s event possible, to our Coaches for supporting our students throughout the competition, our judges for the advice they gave to the students which will help them as they continue to “suit up” and become professionals: Nicola Greenhill, Suzanne White, Hannah Phillips and to Hana and the team at SuitUp Incorporated for their incredible partnership. #OurTapestry #TapestryGives #SuitUp

Colleagues across our footprint partnered with SuitUp Incorporated, a nonprofit organization focused on increasing career readiness for young students through innovative business plan competitions. Webster colleagues participated as coaches and had the opportunity to help students on topics such as marketing, finance and strategy before pitching a business solution to a panel of live judges! Kudos to all our coaches and judges that volunteered their time as part of #CommunityImpactMonth.
