UPMC for Life collaborated with the people of Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique, Africa, to implement a six-month leadership program that teaches self-development, team development and business development skills. Gorongosa National Park was destroyed during a civil war in the 1980s. Its successful rebuild is what inspired the UPMC for Life leadership program name. Twenty-one UPMC for Life employees recently graduated from this inaugural program showcasing capstone projects that tackled the adversities faced by Medicare insurers. Change takes time, but when you invest in people, innovations and improvements will follow. The participating teams proposed solutions that can help UPMC for Life continue to grow and provide the best possible health care coverage experience for its Medicare Advantage plan members. Congratulations to our recent graduates for their outstanding work!
