    The secret? Increased transparency in wages allowing potential applicants to have a better idea of how pay levels are set. In fact, 82% of people say they'd only apply for a job if the pay range is listed. Wage transparency hasn't only boosted pay equity but has also helped employers retain top talent by inspiring trust and confidence in companies that their salaries are competitive and fair. Looking ahead, several states have already adopted pay transparency laws, some including restrictions on employers asking candidates for their salary history, and more states are following suit.
