Align is currently supporting a founder led training course business in finding their new leader. This business has been around for many years and has grown profitably. They are a leader in their niche: technical upskilling and helping people advance in their careers through online learning and content.

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Remote (Open to candidates in Canada or the US)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a strong background in product and growth within the online training course industry or training platform space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading functions at the product or growth level and will be eager to take the reins of our business, taking over from the founder. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional execution capabilities to propel our company forward in a competitive market. We’re a small, profitable company with big ambitions and a huge addressable market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's strategic vision and long-term goals in alignment with our mission: to upskill technical candidates and help them achieve career success.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team. We’re a small team who cares about the work. We need someone who can build on our remote first culture.
• Oversee the development and enhancement of our online training products and services. There are lots of areas of opportunity. We need you to prioritize and execute.
• Drive growth initiatives, including customer acquisition, retention, and revenue expansion. Help our happy customers achieve more!
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a leadership role within the online training course industry or platform, with a focus on product and growth. You have a successful track record.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities. You can problem solve and enjoy the challenge of small business.
• You have a results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. We want a leader who can inspire people. You don’t have to have CEO experience, but you need to know how to build and manage a team.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
