Our Check Operations team is comprised of experienced detailed orientated individuals who are responsible for retrieving and reconciling of check inclearing items and completing check returns in accordance with Reg CC and federal guidelines.

Work Environment- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.
Cognitive Requirements-
Occasionally: Perform basic mathematical computations. Compile, copy and compare information. Analyze and compute information. Problem solving and critical thinking. Motivate, lead, influence and collaborate with others both internally and externally. Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
Frequently: Works independently, little supervision needed. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Constantly: Comprehend materials and follow instructions. Handle confidential/sensitive information.

Occasionally: Use hand/fingers to handle and feel.

Constantly: Sit- Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time. Use hands/fingers for repetitive keyboard & hand motion.
Emotional Effort- Occasional short deadlines. The work environment is occasionally hectic with periods of high stress.
Internal/External Interaction- Occurs occasionally with periods of high volume.

Top Job Responsibilities
- Retrieves Federal Reserve return files and processes all chargeback items .
- Processe s in clearing files and settlements daily .
- Work in collaboration and partnership with other check processing team members to achieve SLAs .
- Performs various types of research and adjustments within check processing .
- Perform Federal Reserve adjustments and assist Recon/Accounting teams with balancing and settlement.
- Assist with testing of new products or upgrades to existing departmental systems.
- Review, approves, and processes Remote Deposit Capture exceptions and makes necessary corrections as backup to our 3rd party vendor.
- Required knowledge of all departmental SOP as to act as back-up when staffing or volume demands dictate.
- Additional job - related projects and duties as assigned by management.
- 1 year check processing experience, preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask under targeted deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of regulation CC, regulation E, BSA, and UCC articles.
