The Personal Builder- Charleston OYL is responsible for the new home quality, budget control, schedule conformance, and client experience of each home that is built in their community. The Personal Builder manages the day-to-day construction process in accordance with the Construction Compass philosophies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains personal organizational systems in combination with the Construction Compass Philosophy
Communicates with the Market Partner – True OYL - Field Operations weekly to review key areas of Construction Compass and Field Performance Objectives
Maintains weekly communication with clients regarding home status and updates
Ensures that each home is built according to the True Quality Inspection quality guidelines and performance standards
Approves all purchase orders for payment according to the performance standards and quality guidelines
Updates and monitors all schedules daily and reports to Centralized Scheduling as required
Manages budgets to conformance using Purchase Order and Variance Purchase Order guidelines and processes
Delivers a positive and enjoyable experience for every client
Documents and tracks all follow-up items in Field Management System
Performs other duties as needed or required
Results/Accountability
Completes all homes according to the Centralized schedule
Closes all homes by determined estimated close date
Responds to all client concerns immediately and resolves them permanently
Achieves True Quality Inspection objectives on each home built
Ensures Budget Control
Maintains schedule conformance
Receives a Builder rating of 4 or better on closing survey
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred
Two to three years of residential or construction experience
Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation required for daily travel in NC and SC

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold or extreme heat.
