Job Summary

The Director of Field Operations, Seed and Content Development Planner (DFOSCDP) will lead and inspire our field teams to identify potential new seed projects, develop content, achieve operational excellence, and ensure the seamless execution of our services and the highest level of customer satisfaction. The DFOSPCD will be committed to fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement while aligning field operations with Indigenized Energy’s strategic goals. By leveraging innovative solutions and building strong partnerships, there will be a drive towards performance, enhanced service delivery, and contribution to the overall success and growth of Indigenized Energy.

Areas Of Responsibilities

In addition to these main duties IE is looking for support and expertise in managing other aspects of the company's mission. This position is desiring oversight and management of operations and maintenance.

Field Operations Management

  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to field operations teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • This position will be directing the efforts of multiple teams across multiple reservations within a given region of the Northern Plains.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth field operations.
    • This position will work closely with the tribal relations department to coordinate and support tribal entities that are not employed by indigenized Energy.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
    • This position will work closely with EPC contractors and sub contractors in the region for system installation and training.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of field operations teams, implementing improvements and corrective actions as needed.
Seed Project Planning and Execution

  • Project Planning: Lead the planning of seed projects, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that projects meet established standards and specifications.
  • Product Reviews: Improving processes for piloting new products and reporting to the team about new product rollouts.

Content Development and Management

  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement a content strategy that supports all of field operations including creating and curating relevant content.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of project-related content, such as project plans, reports, training materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and technical experts, to produce high-quality content.
  • Content Distribution: Manage the distribution of content to appropriate channels and ensure it reaches the intended audience.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data related to field operations and project performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, field operations performance, and content development progress to senior management and stakeholders.
  • KPI Tracking: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and operational improvements.

Budget and Financial Management

  • Budget Planning: Develop and manage budgets for field operations and seed projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor expenditures and ensure projects are delivered within budget, addressing any financial issues that arise.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of field operations and project execution.
  • Technology Integration: Explore and integrate new technologies and tools to support field operations, project management, and content development.
  • Professional Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, providing training and development opportunities for field operations teams.

Compliance and Safety

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all field operations and projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect field teams and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Audit and Inspection: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Relationship Management

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and external partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with project goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any concerns promptly.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; or equivalent experience is desired but not required.
  • 2+ years Experience in Operations and Maintenance within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on PV systems and energy storage is a huge plus.
  • 5+ years proven track record of leading, planning, and executing seed projects preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in content development and management.
  • Experience leveraging innovation and technology to increase process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of field operations and project execution.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and social responsibility.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with third-party financial entities and other external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in O&M software, monitoring systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Certification in relevant industry standards and practices, such as NABCEP, is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this poisition is $100,000-$115,00 per year and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. We have a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for full time employees including health insurance and paid time off.

This position will require working remotely, in the field and from your home (or other suitable place).
