Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely into the accounting system.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accounted for.
Support senior accountants with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus.
