General Summary: Assists and supports the Executive Director of Emergency Management & Security and Directors of Security & Safety in providing oversight support in Emergency Management and Security areas.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, information systems, security or related field and a minimum of three years experience in security or logistics-related role. Or Associates degree with five years relevant experience. Strong organizational, communication and people skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems and issues. Understanding of software systems, along with their administrative processes.

Duties: 1. Assist with Emergency Management and Safety & Security projects in terms of support and logistics.

  • Administer various software systems, including the Lenel security system; RAVE Alert & Guardian software system and applications; IncidentTracker, Avigilon and others as required.
  • Coordinate all Safety and Security IT issues with the CCAC IT Department.
  • Oversee key control, card access programming and distribution and overall building access control systems; maintain records for all building access control.
  • Coordinate and schedule inspections and repairs related to Safety and Security with multiple vendors.
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors to procure necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Provide financial/budget support for procurement and tracking of Safety and Security budgets.
  • Coordinate and conduct training on Safety and Security software systems as required.
  • Collect statistics for all Directors of Safety & Security for Clery reporting and check for clerical or missing data in the document.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director & Directors of Safety & Security to manage life safety systems scheduling and tracking.
  • Have working knowledge in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and facilitate college-wide implementation. Collaborate with the Executive Director of Emergency Management to ensure all personnel receive mandatory NIMS training and track completion rates.
  • Assist the Executive Director of Emergency Management and Security with special projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as required or as assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances and are available here.
