Senior Accountant Roles & Responsibilities
Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team
Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting
Prepare financial reports
Prepare multi-state sales tax returns, assist with audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties as assigned
Support monthly and year end financial close
Day-to-Day Duties
Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Analyze complex financial reports and records
Review journal entries to ensure accuracy
Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
