Landmark Ventures is seeking an experienced and dynamic Venture Partner with expertise in Cybersecurity to join our Business Development team. In this This is a dynamic and multifaceted role, you will provide expert advice and services to our network of enterprise executives while also strategically driving sales strategies for your clients. You'll be an incredibly well-informed and trusted advisor, providing expert insights for our CIO/CISO network. Our clients will look to you as a “super-connector”, an expert in cybersecurity, and a true dealmaker for matching innovation to real-world business needs. The ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer and client relationships is crucial for this role. Your deep industry experience will help our clients develop sales strategies, identify new opportunities, and accelerate their go-to-market initiatives. As the cybersecurity expert at Landmark, you’ll also create thought-leadership content (written and public speaking), and source new business for the firm.

 

As Venture Partner, you will lead our Cybersecurity team, advising existing clients as well as top executives at enterprise organizations, and with your deep technical expertise and strong network, provide leadership and direction. 

 

The Ideal Candidate Has

 

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in sales, consulting, and/or enterprise IT with a distinctive record of professional achievement and impact
  • Proven thought leadership within the cybersecurity ecosystem including production, syndication/publication of marketable knowledge
  • Proven track record of developing new client relationships and generating business development opportunities that lead to successful client engagements
  • Confident executive demeanor, comfortable at the CXO level; excellent presentation skills, including strong verbal and writing capabilities
  • Enterprise buying experience, with a history of making significant budgetary decisions and software acquisitions
  • Clear communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
  • Relationship-building prowess, with a skill for deepening ties with existing executive clients and fostering new C-suite connections
  • Experience leading a team, managing P&L, reporting/presenting KPI’s, and capable of motivating and directing a high-performing team of direct reports
  • Seasoned leadership skills with strong entrepreneurial drive, who thrives on problem-solving and sets the bar in terms of client service delivery
  • Deep intellectual curiosity, a creative thinker who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly assimilate new ideas

Our office is headquartered in New York City and we work in the Eastern Time Zone; we offer a virtual/remote work arrangement for all employees. Candidates must be authorized for employment in the United States.

 

The salary range for this position is $200,000-300,000. Compensation is based on candidates’ qualifications and experience, and we offer competitive benefits.
